I’ve heard and read articles about him recently where he’s trying to get clean, trying to face his demons. I don’t know when this exactly was filmed, but he is clearly struggling with something deeper then just “Lou Pearlman gave me/us a career, how dare you speak badly of him!”

He definitely harmed Aaron Carter, and manipulated him. His biggest defender despite no rationale, and the most damaged of all the interviewees. It’s sad that Aaron passed. He was so vulnerable and I believe Lou took advantage of that and it’s prob the reason why Aaron got so messed up. It’s all horrible.
@I_WANT_MY_SLAW
@I_WANT_MY_SLAW 8 ай бұрын
We know for a fact that he groomed Nick Carter. As for Aaron, the clues seem clear as day that Aaron had repressed memories of harm. And it's possible that Aaron gaslit himself into believing Lou was helping him and his career. Which he probably was, because Lou loved money. And he could only screw over hus artists, if they generated inc9me. But we have no actual evidence of Lou doing anything harmful to Aaron. Because whatever harmful things Lou might've done to Aaron, is only truly known between them. And Aaron only ever had great things and wonderful experiences to share about Lou. So if anything bad did happen, Aaron took it to the grave. It's possible that had Aaron lived longer, and gone through intensive therapy, maybe in his 40s, he might've had full clarity, and would've been able to publicly share his truth. But the problem is, Aaron was in denial. And the drugs and alcohol kept him in his own delusion that nothing bad ever happened. But you gotta ask yourself. Because nobody uses drugs and alcohol to go completely numb, if nothing bad ever happened to them.

When he says his take on if Lou was a pedophile, that pause before he says “that is not true” sounds like for a second he wondered if he should answer differently. Then he goes into the diamond push up thing and that’s just, those have nothing to do with each other. That was a horrible example and anyone can be a predator, even if they teach you how to do better push ups even though they themselves don’t look like they ever did a day of exercise in their life.

I was in high school for the boy band craze. I took lots of scrutiny and harassment for being a fan during it. The next generations will never know the struggle of walking into a record store in 1998-2002 to buy a NSYNC/ Backstreet Boys albums as a male teenager. Even to this day I catch jokes about me being a fan of both and to be honest I can care less because they are two of the most talented groups in history with tons of great songs. It was really strange because I’m a girl so I’m “allowed” to like them but it was embarrassing for me personally…..I was never embarrassed to buy the alanis morrissette album tho. It’s gotta be some kind of weird psychology.

I've spent probably 35 of my 40 years on this Earth letting my mind and my heart talk me out of going down the road that my gut was directioning me to. What I've learned is that every single time... EVERY👏 SINGLE 👏 TIME👏 my gut was not steering me wrong and that my mind and my heart seem to have a bad sense of direction. I've learned that it's okay to let my mind & my heart chime in and even at times let them take over at the helm. But the most important thing I've learned is that if my gut is trying to take over the GPS in my life then I need to stand down and let it because it's NEVER... not one time sent me down the wrong road or pointed me in the wrong direction. 💛💛💛

I remember following the *NSYNC vs Lou case when it was happening, but I (a teen in 1998) didn't fully comprehend how bad it was or how deep it really went until I watched this doc. Thank you to Lance, Alan Gross, all the other members of multiple musical groups, parents, ponzi scheme victims and everyone who took the time to share their stories. It was really upsetting to see the difference in reactions from the older guys (Lance, AJ, JC, Chris) compared to Aaron Carter who was so much younger when his fame took off and the raw emotion when he was defending Lou. I'm so happy that *NSYNC have been coming back in the media since the VMAs this year and I can't wait to hear their new song in just a few days!

When people say 'I've made you/i found you in the gutter/you'd be nothing without me', it makes me livid. Top-tier manipulation. One can put millions into something/someone and there'd still be nothing if there's no talent, hard work and a lot of luck. So yeah, one can help and finance, but ultimately talented people do most of the work. They should be paid for. It also reminds me of manipulative parents, who'd try to guilt trip their kids by saying they have provided food and shelter for them, so they should be eternally grateful.

My heart breaks for Aaron. His mannerisms are indicative of somebody that was very seriously groomed from a very young age and shielded from ever needing to think for himself. His manner of speaking, his phrasing, everything he says is very clearly evasive. I think we need to be wary of reading into somebody's mannerisms too much and seeing what we already believe to be true. I don't think there's such a thing as the mannerisms of somebody who's been groomed. Though his body language does seem off to me, it could be for any number of reasons which may not at all be related to Lou Pearlman. If he was the one to do something wrong, that would be one thing but it just makes me uncomfortable that this whole comment section is reading so much into his behaviour, even though we all know that he's likely a victim.

Still an addict narcissist...
@RyleeCoyote13
@RyleeCoyote13 3 жыл бұрын
The fact that the majority of our society has a problematic attitude towards addiction and addicts themselves- of which is largely based off of misconceptions and ignorance- is and will continue to be what has the largest influence on why both the cycle of and stigma towards addiction continue. Narcissistic behavior is disgusting and needs addressing on both an individual level and a societal level, but due to the fact that it doesn't have such an extreme effect on the chemical makeup of the brain it can be addressed much easier and the habits that come as a result can be broken. Narcissistic behavior, while learned, can be changed. While it's one of many words that have started to get thrown around a lot and in many cases might not always be true, it is a negative character trait on a social level when looking at true cases. Addiction isn't an inherently negative trait, it's a difficult one. Addiction, being an oddity within one's chemical make up of their brain, should not be used to negatively classify someone. Call him a narcissist if you please, although I don't know that I'd agree just because I haven't followed him closely enough in recent years to confidently say one way or the other, but calling him an "addict narcissist" in a way meant to be a jab at who he is as a person is not it.

Every pedophile is going to start teaching their victims diamond pushups as it obviously worked as a cover for Lou.

@@kursk_kuku141 they deserved more than 10k. but Lou did pay for their housing, training, singing lessons, paid them a stipend, pay for studio time, pay for the producers. He pretty much invested a lot of money in them. they were replaceable employees.

I read the Vanity Article that was written 15 years ago I think that exposed Lou Pearlman's homosexuality/pedophilia. The article stated that something very bad happened between Lou and Nick from the Backstreet Boys which is Aaron's older brother. Their mother also confirmed it and stated that Nick never wanted be alone with Lou. It basically insinuated that Nick was molested. I think Aaron is in extreme denial and that's why he's so defensive of Lou. He was chosen as a solo artist by Lou and definitely groomed by him around the age of 9. It's sad :( before I actually watched this documentary I saw a preview of Aaron and I thought for sure he was not only going to confirm Lou's pedophilia but also reveal slot of things. I was quite shocked that it was the complete opposite
