I feel like Deep's character in this show is literally how Starlight described him, "pitiful and a joke". So I think even though he was an asshole in the first episode, I can't help but find myself feeling sorry for him while also laughing of him during his scenes 🤣🤣 I really like his character.

@@Jabberwocky415 It would fit perfectly, because she stayed to try and help them, but the people (in fear) swarmed her, she panicked and tried to leave, people wouldn't let her so she instinctively tear thru them with her blade before Homelander trusted thru the hull of the plane, instantly killing the rest, while those who managed to survive (all be not in one piece) fell to their deaths. It would keep her characteristics, and even her tv show personality while showing us, that even well meant supe is still wastly unprepared and untrained for situations like these! Because no super had any form of training. They are just models with powers. Maeve most of all!

@@petrgalko4152 Except we see time and again in this show that whenever Maeve is afraid she freezes up or retreats into herself, she never lashes out except for that table flip with her GF, and that was more frustration than fear. Her character in the show would never kill an innocent civilian by choice, even if she was afraid. And I doubt a group of normal people could ever make her fear for her safety.

Also, how many of the fake robbers, villains, etc. set up by Vaught, do you think died from any of her punches? Or when that truck in the very first episode rammed into her? "Group of normal people could never make her fear for her safety" Even when those people jump at you all at once with blown out ear drums, screaming in fear and agony while keeping Maeve in a falling plane that will definitely kill her if she remained on board when it hits the ground? Even in the show, she chose to leave them behind rather than staying there. Inaction. Meave is not a superhero, nobody in the boyz universe is. That is the whole point. Even with their powers, they are just untrained, unprepared civilians.

In homelanders defence he could not really save them this isn’t superman movies he would probably fly through the plane. He’s just a piece of shit. Tho I gotta say I love the character and the actor is soo good. He is also pretty funny with his smile XD and so intimidating. In season 1 my fav character was Butcher in season 2 it’s actually homelander I’ve grown fond of him. lol

Yeah, that's just the thing, most people don't think about it but Superman comics, movies etc. don't really follow the laws of physics (not saying this show follows the laws of physics completely either, but at the very least it is overall more scientifically accurate in **some** places, the plane debacle being one of them). Something the size of a human being (Homelander in this case), even if we accept that he/she/it has super-human strength, endurance and whatever, simply *COULD NOT* lift a plane either on the ground or in the air with just its hands. Sure, we know this being has more than enough strength to do it, in theory, but the size difference alone of the object trying to be lifted and the being trying to do the lifting is massive, so then you gotta account for the fact that all that strength would only be focused on a tiny amount of space underneath said object (the space that Homelander's hands could cover underneath the plane, in this case), and at that point the being would just end up punching through the object it was trying to lift because while he/she/it has super strength, durability, resilience etc. and can endure those forces on it, a real-life object like a plane or a house, for example, simply does not. It would be like trying to lift a watermelon with just a nail underneath it, we all now we'd have the strength to technically do it (if somehow we managed to keep the watermelon perfectly balanced on top of the nail, that is), and the nail is made of iron or steel so it can definitely endure the weight of the watermelon on top of it just fine as well, *BUT EVEN THEN* the nail would just punch through the bottom of the watermelon, making the whole ordeal pointless in the end. So you see, just like Homelander and the plane in this episode, it was a futile undertaking, and Homelander knew very well that it just wasn't going to happen either way.

Ofcourse real world physics still applies to it even if it follows a lore, that's like saying why does Game of thrones has gravity when it has Dragons. Superman can life huge stuffs because it's his literal power that whatever he thouches kind of combines and doesnt fall apart, homelander couldn't have lifted off the plane. Also as he said, why would he save some of them, they would just tell everyone that he left rest to die.
