The series itself is neither realistic nor scary. Just mildly humouristic at times

There are definitely people who attack Erin out of misogyny, or just general dislike of plastic surgery. Personally I'm not a fan of her plastic surgery, not because I personally think she looks worse (its none of my business how other people want to look), but because she's currently an actor in a 5 season show. For continuity purposes, she couldve waited to do that until the show was finished, its jarring. Ntm, in the show Annie is supposed to be a "down-to-earth" midwestern girl, and the plastic surgery completely ruins that image, making her look like a popular "mean girl".
