It would do two things for him; One, immediately gets Ryan on his side for saving his other dad Two, he gets his scorched earth, end of days fight with Butcher AND when Butcher comes after him, itll push Ryan more into his arms

I hear this argument a lot since it all kicked off "Frenchie was always Bi. They were always platonic" If it was written that way from the start, why are they explaining it through dialogue now? They showed Frenchie had a relationship with a guy in flashbacks in season 2, he also wanted trans strippers at a party for Mothers Milk lol. It's not a new thing I think people just forgot. Kimoko told him last season when they kissed it was weird because they were "family" so she's not into him that way.
