Took a Friday off and decided to explore the Bradshaw trail starting in Blythe CA. Spent the night off the trail then continued down the Bradshaw. Once finishing the Bradshaw Trail we headed towards Slab City then onto the Salton Sea.
Opinion - The Bradshaw trail is a mostly graded road. There are some sandy sections and loads and loads of washboards. There are a couple of miles of the trail that runs through a wash so two wheel drive vehicles will need to keep their speed up. Last 5-10 miles of the road is extremely rough with extreme washboards. Overall - While the scenery is beautiful for an avid off-road this trail is boring. There really are NO technical sections and most of the trail is a fast paced graded road. We would not do this trail a second time - but it is a great trail to get away from everyone and be out in the middle of nowhere. So if you're looking for a beginner trail and want to be totally isolated this trail is for you.
