Eve Plumb is an enigma to me. She seems to really have a disdain for the Brady Bunch and yet in the HGTV shows in 2019, she started off as coolish and not wanting to have much to say about the Brady Bunch, and yet she had saved quite a bit of paraphernalia from the BB and she softened up and cried (finally) when the BB gang was gathered around the dining room table, talking about Florence and Robert. I wonder why she comes across as aloof. I think she has a lot of hurt underneath her tough exterior.

She was probably paid handsomely, hence the reason why it seemed she really cared during the HGTV special, lol, highly doubt she would’ve been involved.

Understandably...Eve is BORED STIFF with answering the same tired questions about a show that stopped production 50 years ago..I think it's time for America to leave the Bunch alone...I don't blame Eve's hot 'n cold attitude either...

@@anthonycrossley2426 I don’t think Brady Bunch nostalgia is going away any time soon. Even my GenZ nieces and nephews remember it from when they were little and the original series was released on DVD. I don’t think Gen X will let go anytime soon, especially as we get older and more nostalgic about childhood. And I’ve seen some of the pop culture podcasts are looking back on the hit parody movies from the 90s now too.

Eve had the feud with Maureen because Maureen apparently hinted that the two of them had a same-sex affair to help promote her book in the 2000s, but Eve and other Brady stars say this never happened and was just a promotional gimmick.
@PatrickLHawkins
@PatrickLHawkins 5 жыл бұрын
In 2008 while promoting her book Maureen said she made a joke on a talk show years before about how her and Eve shared more than sisterly love during the filming of the Brady Bunch, which didn't sit well with Eve. Susan Olsen was asked if there were a feud between the two. She said that Maureen asked her does Eve hate me and she said no it's worse than that she doesn't care. All the kids from the show are involved in the current HGTV project. Hopefully Eve and Maureen have buried the hatchet. While Eve claims not to be bitter. In past interviews like the Jenny Jones Show in 1995 she was just awful to the people in the audience asking questions. Personally I think Eve had high acting aspirations and the Brady Bunch prevented her from achieving her goals. She tried to shake off the Jan Brady image by doing Dawn, Portrait of a Teenage Runaway in 1976. But unfortunately I don't think people could see her as anything other than Jan Brady and I think she's a bit bitter about it.

I used to hate her Wendy. But I really like her now. Well for one thing, the average person is nosey by nature whether they admit it or not. And Wendy Williams is pretty good at being a nosey rosey and dishing dirt on people. I love how she put Eve plumb in check when she weaseled out of the question about a strained relationship with Maureen. Although her paintings are damn good, no one wants to hear about her damn paintings. How boring. Talk shows have to be more entertaining than that. Eve acts as if she's got so much other stuff going on in her life and career that's so interesting that no one should want to mention the Brady Bunch anymore. Well without any mention of the Brady Bunch in talk shows, she is completely boring to the average talk show viewer.

Unfortunately, Jan still seems to be incredible bitter. She needs to let it go and realize The Brady Bunch was such a huge part of her life and so many other's. It's terrible to think that after all these years she and Maureen can't reconcile and remember all the good times. This interview was very uncomfortable. You could feel it. It was like being on pins and needles and Wendy was too afraid to cross that line. She had probably been told not to go down that road with Eve prior to the interview. I will say that Eve is very talented with her painting! She just has to get that chip off her shoulder. She is far too serious. Don't push away the Brady Bunch...embrace it and have fun with it.

EVE IS SO NEGATIVE ABOUT THE BRADY BUNCH YEARS. NO WONDER PEOPLE THAT MEET HER CANT STAND HER.
@maureenbarragan2065
@maureenbarragan2065 5 жыл бұрын
You have to understand that the role in the brandy bunch had a bad influence on her because here is why ....movie producers have to write the scripts and in my belief i believe they are brainwashing them in some way to make all the characters look bad in some way and some ways good but usually they are influened by bad memories then good ...so she was influenced to say marsha marsha marsha when later in life would have probably made her feel jealous of maureen....the infleneces never hit you until later in life i dont blame her she felt left out while marsha got all the attention ...no offense .....but if you were in her shoes would you feel the same or not.... just asking ....i really believe movies are all set ups to destroy the movie characters why do you think that every time you see a person die or commit suicide in a movie i believe it comes out that way i think once you sign a movie contract for like 20 years you are setting yourself up for failure or even one movie because its ruled by money money is the root of all evil so we got to becareful .....trust in using attornies instead of avoiding them thats why alot of celeberties use drugs and die or for luxury because they dont go through the process to go to attornies to handle it first ...and trust in themselves to use it ..and that is the mistake ....they end up in financial debt and ruined relationships never trust yourself with money unless you are confident in yourself not to use it on something foolish ask if your not sure how to use big amounts of money b its good to seek for attorney.. trust in your gut feeling or what your instint is telling you should i do this then if it says no then listen to yourself and listen to what your conscious is telling from right or wrong my dad always told me to stop look and listen and also he would say that you will die by your own hands phrases you have to be a strong individual the enemy uses mostly people that are easy to manipulate he uses them according to their desire and he really will overtake you in that really well if you let him control you in what you put your trust in how you use money i know this because i learned the hard way of using money andi will regret this for the rest of my life so please stay close to your family and love and accept them and listen to everything they tell you in return... if you do..... it will come back to you in a strong good way ....you may have failed relationships and jobs or even think yourself as a failure in life like i did i never suceeded in life with anything and was hurt by people all my life ....so in other words unfortunately it affected me tremendously later in life and it still is i live in fear worry and doubt and in sickness everyday and loneliness because of also making very bad decisions in life with how i handled money so im living in the consequences .......🙁but just to let you know who ever is willing to listen !give your life to God and know what it means to be saved by him ..... try praying to him and tell him you are sorry for everything you did to others and to yourself but one thing is for sure you must be honest witheverything you are saying to him he will most likely answer you because you are being honest go to him for everything with an open heart he will guide all the days of your life he promises this for those who put their trust in him as lord and savior just know what it means to be saved ask God and he will tell you...you never know when you time will end im proud of you for making that decision i believe you will ....you will be glad that you did you will never regret it ...salvation is the best thing that you will ever do.i i learned that you cant have one foot in the door and the other outside in the world you know what i mean 8.i am working on coming back to God i just have to know what i want .....either him for the rest of my life or my own self pleasing life .....ahh..thats the question how about you thanks for listening

Everybody looks at things differently. Had I been part of that iconic show or any iconic show, I'd embrace it. If I got paid money to go to conventions and say "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia" or "Mom always said Don't play ball in the house." or sing "When it's time to change, you've got to rearrange" or "I might have known I'd find another woman here", I'd do that too knowing that it was paying the bills and knowing that it was keeping me from having to say this line "Would you like french fries with your cheeseburger"?

She's more receptive about her Brady experience than she was on Jenny Jones a while back. In terms of her being on the HGTV show, she likely agreed because she could be herself, and not Jan. Has anyone on this board heard of the golden rule? Surely Brady Bunch viewers are familiar with the concept. The posters who accuse Eve Plumb of being embittered are denying her the right to her feelings. She’s entitled to them whatever they might be. If she wasn’t a celebrity, few would be judging her so harshly. We don’t know how deeply her hurts go. She doesn’t owe us any explanation. Some wounds are too deep to shrug off. I do agree that forgiveness is a gift we give ourselves but on the same token, some people are toxic. No one else is going to do a better job of protecting Eve than she herself. Just as we all take care of ourselves.

She may not owe anyone an explanation but she does owe it to herself to tell the truth. When she does she will free herself from the ties that bind. There's an old saying that goes something like when you tell the truth the story is over. Eve Plumb needs to realize the world likes her because she was Jan Brady. Its been 50 years and she is still remembered. Tell the truth and you won't have to do shows like Wendy Williams anymore.
