I worked at dominos part time like 10 years ago. Before the pandemic bungling but after the 08 cluster funk. It wasn’t a bad job but used cars are more expensive relative to wages now so there’s probably tougher to feel like you did okay. All location based though, worked near a college on game day you could clear 200 or 300$ in a night delivering. 12-20 deliveries sorta thing. College Kids tipped well.

I did my dads brakes on his truck this past summer. It had the original rotors on it 9+ years. I had to take a 8lb sledge hammer to it to get them off. Its simple to do, but its hard work and tedious.

If a person wants to abuse others and be abused, there is no other system that allowes him/her to do so than slavery. There are many people who close to nobody would spend time with, who see themselves as losers, but at work people have to spend time around them if they want to eat, and they may be given a title with some amount of situational authority.

Hey Steam, you’re not alone with the breaks. Tomorrow, I need to replace some wheel bearings. New pads and rotors should set you back about $500.

I’ve watched some of your videos, and they touch on important social issues. For instance, you highlight challenges faced by low- and moderate-income families, particularly the economic divide between the 'haves' and the 'have-nots.' What many don’t realize is that the system is intentionally structured to allow those with wealth and privilege to pass down their social, political, and economic advantages to their children. This perpetuates nepotism and keeps the cycle going.

Had my front brakes replaced on my Toyota a few months ago. GenZ girl at the service desk tells me they have to replace the rotors because it's a "safety issue" I literally laughed in her face and told her, no it's an issue with cheap parts designed to fail quickly and add to the repair bill issue. $750 for front brakes and an oil change lol.

You are made to drive because it is more costly which means it is more profitable for someone else. Doesn't matter how inefficient or inconvenient, you will drive and be saddled with fuel costs, maintenance, loans, the cost of a rental or ride share when you aren't driving, the added cost to pay for mandated parking acreage, and so on and so on. The objective isn't really to keep you poor, it's to force you to spend money while not paying you. Glad you want to give people a reality check. I also hope things turn around for you. Even if it's only for a little while, I hope you get a respite.

Apply to all jobs qualifications be damned. Use charisma to get in the door. Ive done it to multiple companies to simulate what i would do when i am on market. Assume all corporations are snakes and snake them right back and job hop with your qualifications. Ive gotten "hired" then dipped because im still a student so many times. Unless they communicate with each other I will never be caught. And even if i am i go to the next unsuspecting corporation with no remorse or regret. I am only a conman until i learn all that is required for the job. Solution for proletariate: legal loopholes not filled yet to exploit the system to the maximum. When patched exploit the next legal loophole to expand the grifts and schemes you are involved with while never being legally prosecuted because you never technically broke the law.

Young guys imo get fit, get into construction. Yeah it’s tough work but not only does no one else want to do it, but most people physically cannot do it. So as the labor market gets tighter and tighter you can demand relatively high wages. Just watch your health, way it’s looking if you can survive working in the field for 5-10 years you will probably be able to move into more office related management sort of roles because all those guys are retiring next 10 years.

I am in a better place economically now, but only because I was able to move in with one of my sisters and she is kind enough not to charge me rent. If it was not for that well, I would be spinning my wheals like I have all my life. I am fortunate just because of that, but future? Very few of us have a future worth something.

The easiest way to make money on the side is ebay. First sale, a .50cent book worth $110 (actually more but sold it quick) second, Heath Ceramics cups bought for .$.89 cents sold for much more. It might not fix everything but will give some spending money for things that are optional but being able to buy makes you feel better. Small consolation, but something

it is 150k a year minimum houses and things in the economy are priced for dual income households thats why we feel broke af as single ppl. cuz we need to compete with two earners its like a post i read on how ppl are able to afford huge houses in hawaii when the pay sucks relative to the cost of living its cuz they have a multigenerational household all working and paying part of the mortgage human termite mound!

Don’t overthink the qualifications. When your hiring these days you need to load on the Qs just incase a really qualified person who you really don’t vibe with shows up and you don’t want them around you can decline them withount fear of getting sued. So just apply, apply to everything, why can’t you be whatever, it’s probably not as hard as you think it is, and everyone currently doing it is incentivized by economics and ego to make you think their trade or job is as difficult as they can.

The unemployment statistic? It only counts those who are "gainfully employed". Meaning, those two-hundred thousand dollar jobs. Now, JOB CREATION! This is the creative side of government! "We created four-hundred-thousand new jobs last month." Yeah; carton recyclers, bottle recyclers, can recyclers, collectors of dog poop (aka "dog walkers"). Those are jobs. Someone is covering them. Of course, they're all Independent Contractors but who in the government is keeping tabs? A job is a job, ne? Oh, oh! Have you perused the bibles of the gratitude crowd? "Think and Grow Rich" by Napoleon Hill. "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne. (I did. Expletive waste of time, but they got theirs! They sold copies and made their fortune.) If I ever found those two I'd sell a kidney to buy a wood chipper and throw them BOTH into it. Return on investment: PRICELESS screaming. Heck, I'd throw some of the illustrious here in Puerto Rico right along, just for laughs!
