I'm really sorry but the fact that the x4 doesn't come with at least 5 cores makes it a pointless upgrade. My twin mk2 quad has difficulty running more than 3 maybe 4 plugins through both unison inputs simultaneously; how the hell is it supposed to be able to handle 4 unison inputs with plugins? I understand you guys need to sell them but it's an important fact to bring up. We NEED more DSP!
@tomwaterman96875 жыл бұрын
Try the new DSP pairing feature to boost the power per input by using two chips instead of one. Available since UAD v9.10! :-)
@tomwaterman96875 жыл бұрын
P.S we ran heavy chains in this video inc. drum recording with 4 channels all on the Apollo x4 Quad.
@jorgiewtf5 жыл бұрын
Tom Waterman thanks, I’ll give that a try!
@weschilton5 жыл бұрын
Honestly it also depends on which unison plugins you are trying to use.... most of the channel strips are fine on 4 procs. Its those guitar amps, especially the 55 tweed that are hard to run more than one off.
