Jmna to be a better drummer is playing for the music, he's said in an article online that he wants to focus on playing more for the music. he also wants to slow things down now, we all know he can play like a bat from hell from examples such as alligator blood and it never ends but from what I've read he wants to slow it down and keep it simple🤘

Alex Klein practice makes perfect buddy the advice I can give you is try to find some sort of tabs for the song you want to play get yourself a metronome app read the music (or if you can't read the tabs learn how to) and play the song at a slower speed just so you can get used to how everything comes together then slowly bring the metronome up to speed and try to perfect your playing to the song.
@drummermann978 жыл бұрын
Alex Wickham Thanks for the tip! It's kinda cool that he can play very simple stuff (example Happy song) and at the same more complex stuff that makes you confused.😀

why does he have two the same sets of hats on his left
@TheRealSandman9 жыл бұрын
+CHEESE My guess would be he leaves one pair open all the time and one shut, saves having to between the two
@aaronbanez73569 жыл бұрын
One's opened, the other is closed. I'm assuming it makes it easier so he's not switching back and forth from the double bass pedals.
@Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaam9 жыл бұрын
+CHEESE what i can assume is the extra set are closed hats.. so he can do the foot work with closed hats if needed.
@TheGamingDandy9 жыл бұрын
+CHEESE I don't know for sure, but I know that a lot of metal drummers keep a second set of hats that are closed in case they want to play a double bass part but still play on closed hats instead of open ones. So that would be my guess.
@ReecePhilpotDrums9 жыл бұрын
+CHEESE one might be open and the other might be closed :)

personally i miss this dudes old drumming. not the speed but the way he played it like an instrument. people took the "drums keep the beat of the song" too far to a point that a lot of drummers only keep the same repetitive two beats per song: the chorus and the verses.. i mean what in the world happened to drum solos??
@silky29168 жыл бұрын
0derpred0 a song like this doesn't need drum solos, to be what you consider a great drummer is to play really quickly? think about one of the most expensive drummers to ever have lived, Ringo Starr, (who also played zildjian) his drumming was simple and fitted the music and got people dancing, matts doing the exact same thing here (except his drumming isn't that simple) and since the slowing down of the drums and their music in general they're getting a much wider fan Base.
@drummermann977 жыл бұрын
I think drums are not meant for solos. Sure, go ahead if you want, but at the same time your job is to keep the time.

Nick's Drumming something about the album pop like but for the most part it's not pop at all, it might seem it in comparison to what bring me the horizon used to play but it still holds all the elements of rock, solid drums, cutting cymbals, and heavy guitars the only thing that's truly changed is olis voice
