Ever since I heard Brian Jonestown Massacre about 10 years ago I really wanted to grab a guitar and play all those beautifull songs, but I didn't even know the basics about playing the guitar. And I had been spending hours and hours the past 5 or 6 years to try and learn by just listening and trying to play any song not just bjm . So Bjm songs helped me to learn how to play the guitar really, about 2 years ago it happened, my first song was Mama (Tess Parks - Anton Newcombe) and so now I can play many songs from Bjm and not only Thank you Brian Jonestown Massacre for the inspiration that you have provided me with and made me mad enough to teach my self the magic of creating music and songs

Every BJM song is better live than on the studio records, including this one. What a phenomenal band.

I'm a Brit of Indian heritage and recently stumbled across Vacuum Boots and since then it's been a trip where every week I have a new favourite BJM track! Last week it was Fingertips, week before Memory Camp and now this! To make this even more glorious just need some malana cream!

I’ve been a fan since around 1995? And Im a professional drummer…. I think this drummer here is hands down the best drummer this bands ever had! Her pocket is amazing ! I’ll bet Anton barely even yelled at her at all! lol!

I think she sound engineers some of his tunes.

I think her name is Sarah Neidenhorf or something like that.

that drummer rocks totally, that alineation they had like that was killer also since they were playing with Hegna in the bass and that grumpy face drummer.

I spend an hour of every day playing BJM on my guitar. I used to play all the usual sh1t, but realised I resented the time lost when I could have been playing BJM. Yes it’s an obsession, but there are worse obsessions….

Wow, super disappointing in comparison to the studio version. Horrible vocals and way too slow of a tempo. When an artist can perform in the studio, but not live, they aren't an artist. They're just a performer, attempting to replicate something. This was honestly extremely sad to watch. For an artist with such great music, he has put ZERO effort into his live performance. I was shocked and saddened to see this. Knowing this, how can I go back and listen to the studio version? The same thing happened with the black keys, they suck live. If someone sucks live, they suck. Period. It is just sad to find out santa claus isn't real.
@neilwhitaker62844 жыл бұрын
The band lineup he has the last couple of years has been playing slower tempo-this is deliberate. Its to make you feel like you are high as a kite. Perhaps you need to smoke a few doobs and try listening again?
@Pyriscent4 жыл бұрын
@Nathan Cox Whoa dude, this is objectively a bad version. Relax
@Pyriscent4 жыл бұрын
@@neilwhitaker6284 It's bad. Objectively bad. The ratings prove it as do ticket sales. I won't be seeing them live ever again.
@adamcampbell5904 жыл бұрын
Yea this a deliberate choice for sure. I saw them in Glasgow and they played really slow, kind of a sedated, heavy vibe. Personally I love it, they sound so expansive to me here
