Y'all forget last year when Kyrie disappeared for like a week without telling anyone on the team, then when he got pressured about it he cited "personal issues" only to be recorded a couple of days later at a birthday party. Everyone in the video was unmasked so even when he was ready to come back he had to go into protocols because he was exposed. Kyrie ended up missed almost 2 weeks off that nonsense. Not the first or last time something along those lines ended up happening either. In his first year with the Nets, the same year KD was still out with the Achilles injury, Kyrie threw his teammates under the bus. After a bad loss, where Kyrie himself didn't even play that well, he said the team wasn't good enough and they were a couple of pieces away from contention. Mind you, the year before the Nets made the playoffs with D'lo and Dinwiddie leading the team. Kyrie and KD were supposed to be the ones to lead them to the promise land but Kyrie is making declarations about the team when KD wasn't even ready to play yet. When he was on the Celtics, the team literally played better when he was not on the court. After he left, it was revealed the locker room was very toxic when Kyrie was there. This was right after he got annoyed at being second fiddle to Lebron and dipped on the Cavaliers. All this from a dude who you already can't count on to stay healthy consistently. SAS definitely goes a bit overboard in some of the things he says about Kyrie, but Kyrie has done ALOT of fuckshit. Amazing talent but he seems dead set on assassinating his public perception.

Funny how you forgot to mention when Kyrie told the team he needed some time off for personal reasons plus took a few extra days to party with his sister, threatened to retire if the team traded him, told the team he would get vaccinated and then waited until the last day to say he was not getting vaccinated and last but not least convinced Kevin Durant to leave Steph Curry to come to Brooklyn then ghosts the team. Not saying Kyrie is wrong or that Stephen A. is right as honestly their is no clear way out of this mess, but for me personally I would not leave a guy hanging like he has done KD when I asked him to come team-up with me regardless of what my personally feeling were on the situation.

I usually agree with yall but this is a bad take. Kyrie has missed a quite good amount of games that were not injury related. He's known for not showing up to practices and even no showed a home game without telling anyone on his team he wasn't attending he just decided to not show up. He's used the family issues thing a few times not just once. He's also being highly selfish and irresponsible to not be getting vaccinated when he travels all over America for his job aka NBA. Kylie has issues every team he goes too and that's not a coincidence. He should not be defended. Stephen A Smith gets wild for views but nothing he's saying is false.

Man there’s hella athletes that aren’t vaccinated …. And in the grand scheme of things we don’t know what the “family issues” are when he resorts to that excuse. Too many times people use the athletes are still human spiel but with this focus on Kyrie is just annoying … then Stephen A continuously comes up with these out the ass Reasonings or explanations. Nothing Kyrie does or says shows him feeling people are beneath them or anything. @@ATHTSupply nba players are vaccinated. By a huge amount. Kyrie has always acted out and shown he's immature still. He decided to just not show up to games and not notify Steve Nash at one point. He cannot be defended. It's notoriously known that he was sulk and not practice when former coach Brad Steven's tried to change game plans that kyrie didn't like. I don't applaud him at all. He acts like a spoiled brat. Stephen A plays it up for cameras because that's his job but that doesn't mean the core statements he is making aren't majority factual. Its incredibly irresponsible to travel America with your teammates and expose them every single day so much more to covid simply because you're being defiant for the purpose to be defiant. There's a common decency factor here and it's proven kyrie is as selfish as can be. That's not how you conduct yourself in a professional environment. If you or I did what he does we'd be fired. What makes him different ?

We all know that Kyrie is injury prone, what if he decided not to get vaccinated so as to allow himself to stay healthy for the majority of the season? Comes back mid season or what not, then only plays half the games till the playoffs start. I mean, did anyone really think the Nets were going to make Kyrie sit in the playoffs??? Problem is you can't bring him in just as the playoffs are starting, you gotta ease him in. Then you have all three healthy for the finals.... Just food for thought, don't need any hate.

Most of Kyrie's absences throughout his career so far have been in injury-related. It wasn't until recent years when his personal reasons, which've all had a level of validity, came into play. You don't have to agree with his reasons, but don't judge him for them.
