Thoroughly enjoyed this, I’ve subscribed. The BRS3000t is a great wee stove, I use a titanium roll to block the wind. Cheers.

Hello John, love seeing new and exciting bits of kit! This one has caught our attention before, great video thank you. Love the frosty Woodlands and golf course too, it is weird how mens hiking gear is often blue lol, like a blueberry in a bowl of custard ❤☕👍 all the best, Ceri and Kat

@@thecampingastronomer8554 thanks John, Aa Christmas present from Kat. From sportsshoes.com well worth a look for hiking and camping goodies, often at a better price and services than some of the bigger high street branded shops 👍

Nice video John, nice review of the BRS stove Mark has one and now I’m gonna get one, trying to get our pack weight down for our trip to the Swiss Alps next year. ATB Simon

It's amazing how good this stove is for the money, and how light it is. Thanks for watching Simon, hope you have a good week.

Brilliant John👍🏻 that looks like a great little stove, I have the lixada mini which is practically identical it also weighs 25g but costs a couple of quid more at around £18, I’ve cooked some sausage and bacon on it and definitely agree about stability. I used the trangia mini stove set the other day which works really well. It weighs just over 300g and that includes stove, housing unit, a pot and a pan. Just over £20 and pretty good for an alcohol stove. Anyway I’ll stop rambling on. cheers for the video John👍🏻 have a good day. ATB George 🏕

Thanks George 😊. I am thinking about getting the Trangia mini also. When I first started camping 35 years ago I had a Trangia and it lasted about 20 years.

Thank you Karen, I have been lucky to have these woods available from my door. I'm really looking forward to going slightly further afield at the end of the month, and then out camping again from mid April.

Great video John and nice little burner works well I used a vey basic epigas stove for years now use Jetboil, its not for everyones budget but love the way it all fits in mug and boils 500mm in under 2 minutes which is great for a fly cup on the move...not important when camping as boil time not important as you tend to be there for the night...we need to set up a dual adventure when out of lockdown some time..👍 keep the videos rolling there very informative my friend.

Good piece of kit and bit of an eye opener for me, never realised how lightweight these things could be. Have a feeling I know where you were and if I'm correct an excellent spot for solitude and being in touch with nature. Again not slumming it on the food "stakes"!

The stove is astonishingly light Brian, and I never expected it to do any more than boil water up, so was very pleased with it. Trust all is well with you and yours 👍🙂

With a background in engineering I’m sure you could create a lightweight pan stand to supplement the burner 👌. Maybe even 3 or 4 twigs stuck in the ground would suffice if the flame doesn’t reach the pan edges? I’m concerned that a smaller pan would mean a smaller steak 🥩! Perish the thought 🤭😳😧!
@thecampingastronomer85543 жыл бұрын
Ah yes, a smaller steak would indeed be a problem 🤣
