Getting shredded and fitness overall is a dead market at this point. With skyrocketing obesity trends, and information on diet and exercise becoming worse every year, most people can't achieve this lifestyle. Due to their own misinformed and repeated failure - they usually give up, It would be a better use of their time to watch the latest movie trailer, political candidate updates, or music video. If you look at what trends on youtube, it's those things. Also, are you from a european country? you sound british. Fitness is not a large part of american culture. youtube is an american company.

Because being shredded is unnecessary for the average gym goer who has a full time job and other responsibilities. It’s a temporary short term way of life that cannot be sustained. Unless you are doing a competition and this is literally your profession to make money, why would anyone want to be shredded for a prolonged period of time?

The death of Andreas Munzer (RIP) really opened up this topic back in the day- it's just the cult of bodybuilding is now MAINSTREAM and all the bad things that go with it. That's why I quit competitive bodybuilding you bulk up (get fat)then limit all you calories (anorexia) it's humorous that this guy goes "all the compliments I got" hey dude I got them too the majority of compliments being from men- where women just did not like it at all. Unless your goals are in the right path/cause to quote Brad Pitt from Fight Club "self-improvement is masturbation"

I used to weigh 112kg. 5’11 male. I went down to 68kg with a calorie deficit, then a keto/carnivore diet. So much of what you said resonates with me. My resting heart rate when I sleep dips below 40bpm throughout the night; that’s common for me. I’ve more recently started eating my maintained again and that’s now resolved itself, but your body truly does go into a low power survival mode. My hair started falling out, nails went brittle, brain fog, irritable and while my energy levels were consistent with no spikes, they were consistent levels of bugger-all energy.

Have you noticed how People conflate being muscular + lean with having high testosterone? It’s crazy how often these 2 things get conflated. Being muscular and super low body fat tanks testosterone.

This is why I disagree with people who say stuff like “TRT gives no advantages over having naturally high endogenous testosterone levels”. Well for aesthetics it certainly does, as someone on TRT can diet down to extremely low body fat while still having high Testosterone levels, as they are literally injecting it. This is also why I believe people like Jeff Seid and Athlean X are often suspected for being Fake Natties, not due to being huge, but because they are shredded all the time.

@tonyadams8812 Said it before and I'll say it again . I've been saying for *ages , men, if you're out in public all day 5/6 days a week with your shirt off because there are hundreds of beautiful women throwing themselves at you I can totally understand wanting to have a six pack. However, if none of the aforementioned applies i.e whenever you're out in public your upper body is *always covered up, there is absolutely no need whatsoever to have a six pack. Sure be lean(ish) but it's not necessary to have a six pack

Uh, no wonder you were hallucinating. You were at 1700 calories per day, that's below your basal metabolic rate. Plus you were doing cardio AND walking and training? You were running on fumes. You were burning through so much food that your body was stealing energy from the future you. Come on man. You're doing a disservice by suggesting that this is necessary to get down to sub 10% bodyfat.
@user-pn9un3dc8y5 ай бұрын
Your problem wasn’t that you’re lean, humans have always been super lean. Your problem was lack of food. If you kept food the same, and increased activity by a sh*t load you would have had the same results, without any of the side effects. Then once you get shredded, you just eat at maintenance. Another alternative is to do a dry fast 1-2 times a week so you are in a super defect just couple times a week, but the rest of the week you’re not, so your hormones don’t tank. The bodybuilding style of getting cut is inferior.

How do you think he and/or most people get lean in the first place? Its by calorie restriction and increased activity. Doing both while already having low levels of body fat affects hormones amongst other things as he clearly said. Staying that low means maintenence calories will be relatively low. Youve never done a cut or been shredded obviously 😅
