Just as a note: This video is a reuploaded version of the original. It has been censored due to KZbin age restricting the original one, which is why the censorship may seem excessive. Also, as for the pronunciations, I learned the proper forms after originally posting this video around two weeks ago. Because this is a censored version of the original, I had no way to fix that issue. Thank you for your understanding.

That is some good work done brother. The narrative is clear, concise and in perfect chronology of the events that followed. Plentitude of Gotti docu-series and this one should easily be among top 8, at the least.

@@Fairlight53 no doubt about it, I didn't care for the one with John Travolta, he had to try to hard to portray Gotti, whereas with Armand Assante it seemed to be a very natural role, Asante is a very underrated actor.

@@safarijoejnr534why are the five families still alive and committing crimes? If the government had one completely there would be no more mafia there would be absolutely no more organized crime. But that's not the case so you cannot totally 100% say that the government has won in that there are no such thing as gangsters that went up against the government and loss because they're have been some and I say some made men that go and do their time but there's been a hell of a lot of rats so you're not completely right but you're not completely wrong either.... As far as I'm concerned the government has won when it comes to flipping certain members of the mafia but the ones that go down in history as made men that stay true to omerta are still trying to hang on to a dieing breed of people. I just want everybody to know I do not glorify or cheer on the bad guy or crime or whatever.

Shaun Atwood, author & podcaster now, was a young British entrepenuer that made a lot of money. He moved to Arizona & opened a club, for fun, that became very successful as well as a booming business selling ecstasy there. One day he got a visit from 2 serious type guys telling him their boss wanted to be his partner in the ecstasy business. He was just a lucky young guy having fun & didn't want a partner. They approached him once more & told him their boss was Sammy the Bull but he politely declined again. Shortly after he was arrested & spent quite a few years in prison. He made the best of it & has written several books & has a popular podcast. He's lucky Sammy got rid of him "legally" haha instead of whacking him.

Sammy is a cold blooded murderer. Just like John Gotti was. The big difference is Gotti went to his grave no giving up anyone or saying anything. The punk sammy turned on everyone and all he got was 5 yrs. That's a bunch of crap. Look at his life through his own mouth. The things he did are sicking. Yes Gotti was The Boss but he went out like a man. Sammy doesn't know the meaning of the word. I don't care what anyone says... Sammy the Rat should have done life in prison for the sick things he did. He killed his own wife's brother and so much more. I know people who have got busted with a couple pills that got more time than this RAT. John Gotti RIP ❤

Sammy had to do what he had to do. He was a product of his own gangland preferences. No one ever mentions that Sammy learned to kill in places like Tigerland , the US Army Jungle Training Center located in Fort Polk, Baton Rouge , Louisiana.(1962 - '73). Sammy was also his commanding officer's bodyguard as part of his regular military duties. Sammy was ripe for some of Vietnam's bloodiest battles. He was lucky that he served his 2 yrs. and immediately returned to Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. If he had stayed in the military his chances of survival were very slim. The kind of work that he was performing in the army meant manning a front line position in the Vietnamese quagmire.

Crazy question: Castellano knowing the bad blood that existed within the factions of the Gambino's because of his being the Boss, what would happen AFTER he accepts the appointment as Boss then AFTER a short while he stepped aside and allowed Dellacroce to become the Boss to take the attention off of him? Say with certain stipulations.

@SBatts-rd9kg

@@GuidoLuzzi That's true too! Good point. Making oneself a lesser target seemed a wiser move. Operating as Underboss and giving Neil the Boss spot seemed clever. Nobody challenged Dellacroce and he (Paul that is) would've lived longer. I'm aware that these guys are all about the power. Paul would've temporarily smothered Gotti's resentment of him. Drug money would continue to be made and Neil would eventually die. Short version: Put out the fire in your own house first. Slowly remove what you don't like from underneath you then when the time is right, take full power. 🤣
@BostonsF1nest
@BostonsF1nest Жыл бұрын
The bad blood only existed in his last years as boss. He never would have stepped down. Neil was never even considered. First of all- he was in prison when Carlo died in 76. Secondly- Paul and Carlo Gambino are related in more ways than one- Carlo married his first cousin, Paul’s sister. Third- Carlo and Paul were not only cousins and brother in laws but more importantly they were both Sicilian. Carlo would have never in a million years handed a $500 million dollar a year company over to someone who was from Naples like Neil was, nor would he have given it to someone outside his immediate family. Lastly- Paul was Carlos acting boss as far back as 1963. Neil was never a consideration. That’s a media created storyline fueled by Gotti killing Paul in 1985. Mind you- Neil once tried to kill Carlo at one point in 1957 when Carlo killed Albert Anastasia because Neil was a Anastasia loyalist. Sicilians never forget and they also don’t trust non Sicilians.

I don’t understand why he’s so revered when he basically got so high up in the hierarchy through nepotism. I mean there were plenty of wise guys who had a better a résumé and put in so much more work. He was one of the most reckless irresponsible, impulsive, arrogant and flamboyant bosses of all time he went against the code and everything La cosa nostra stood for and built. And caused irreparable damage to the families that left it in shambles and put so many made guys away because of it. And he still got to live a life to the end of his days? It’s Wild to me when so many bosses got, got for so much less.

My b day is March 12, 1985. Exactly 40 years after Gravano. I'm not saying any significance is there, I just found it interesting.
