Good luck on your tour hope you get some decent weather. I like the look of the BSA with the barkbusters and the knobbly tyres, the luggage looks good the only thing i would be concerned about is sitting on the luggage strap long term.

The way that yuve both set the bike up with the luggage is quite unobtrusive to the loox of the bike. It all blends in nicely rather than big boxes sticking out of the back. Have a good tour and enjoy yourself Sean and I'm looking forward to the videos of your travels.

First of all a big R at the end with Suzie. Style over beauty on the hand guards! I have a set on my V7 Moto Guzzi, not the best of looking of things (but a few years ago I had a Pigeon hit the the clutch lever across my finger bones, witch broke all my bones from the top to the first joint 😵‍💫 not great when I still had a 10 mile ride to work + a trip to hospital. Maps over sat nav? Maps win due to they scenic detail which sat nav doesn't + plus a wider area covered, but both have advantages. One for Suzie I hope your health improves & also to hear your caring & conserson for Sean 🤗🤗

You (and the bike) are certainly well prepared! Those heated grips seem a bargain, especially as they come with the throttle tube. Most big name grips are just that - grips - and you fit them over the existing throttle.

Suze wants to pack you away, like it. The bikes looking amazing with all that extra touring stuff on it and like myself your a map man. Now all you need is some decent weather and your balling. By the way I've managed to do a deal on a Kawasaki Eliminator SE 500 so my GoldStar is going next week and as you know I've never said anything bad about the GoldStar as a bike it's just BSA as a company that I've come to dislike intensely.

I'm using the Michelin maps, 400,000:1 scale for all the back roads. Can't beat it. Trying to avoid using sat nav and re learning how to navigate 🤣

@@MindfulMotorcyclist write a list from top to bottom the place names and the road number, top being the first place on the rout and work your way down stick it in the clear top of your tank bag and have the map handy underneath. Worked for us for years, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣allegedly 🥴 except in Bordeaux could always get in spend the rest of the day getting out, Grenoble on the other hand great rods in and then look for N85 for Gap 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 the rout napoleon glorious rd all the way have fun mate wherever you end up 👍…. I am all fine with adding stuff to make your adventure better but unless you are going over rough tracks those knobby tyres are a liability on the roads , there are lots of choices available these days all depends on where you are going 👍

I'm using the same heated grips on both my bikes and have to say they are great for the price, never had them on above the second heat setting, my hands are toastie ! I purchased a spare set thinking they wouldn't last long because they are so cheap. How wrong was I.

@@MindfulMotorcyclist Honda nc 750 dct 17 plate and kawasaki gpz 500 both really easy installs and work fine. Remember to wire them via the ignition or you will drain the battery if you forget to turn them off when you've finished riding fir the day!

Hi Mark, I couldn't live without them now, they give you such flexibility. Any track or muddy lane I can just explore. I like it. Cost is road noise and you can't throw her around bends anymore but I was always a slower rider anyway

​@marktorbay no problem for me, Coastrider Scotland has heidenaus k60s on his classic 350 and seems fine. His channel might be a useful place to reference for tyres on your bike. There's something appealing about a classic bike with a torque focused lump that can chug over any ground...

Inside the headlight bowl 🥣, two Allen bolts either side... be careful not to drop the light. Plug is a green Yazaki female, you'll need a Yazaki male for a factory like fit. Any questions do ask.
