1/4 oz jig head is all I use for fluke from shore. 6” jerk shad. Nice to see you mixing it up.

It produces very well. Great when the current is running slow. Thank you for watching frrok1

Thanks for sharing the thoughts behind the lure selection. Other than the weight impacting how and where it swims in the water column it probably impacts lateral line response in fish as it bumps into stuff and causes the curly tail to flap around more.
@BobAquatic2 ай бұрын
@@Fiscian your comment is spot on. Thank you. It’s a balance to get the weight correct but makes a huge difference

Thanks for sharing Bob! You should try to get some of those Temu items and see if you can catch with those. BTW have you ever tried netting? I've never seen any

Enjoying your content! Relatively new to NYC and would love to get into finishing. I enjoy keeping/eating the fish I catch though. Is there anywhere in/near the city where it is safe to keep the fish?
@BobAquatic2 ай бұрын
@@UrhJohan there’s no problem eating fish from NY, just don’t eat out of the east river too often. Anywhere in the South Shore and Jamaica bay is fine to eat

what times do you recommend for pier fishing besides early morning specially this time a year?

@@mpg2026 tough question because it changes daily with the tides. I’d suggest going out when you have free time and forming a pattern when you notice good fishing. Write down notes in log book form. Thank you for watching!

@@noname-y9xn yes I do but it’s not possible to keep a live well on my bicycle or bring the aerator/cast net. Takes up a ton of space and weight. Most of the boat videos on here are live bait. Live baits #1
