I know a guy that lives near me with a turbo LS3 Miata pushing a little over 600hp, 640 tq. He says it's not driveable on the streets, even with Complete suspension overhaul, mechanically gripped out, and 275 Hoosiers warmed up. Even rolling on breaks the tires loose. He's selling it now because of that. I don't know how in the world, if the unibody can even hold up to 1000-1400 hp, if this guy can't deal with much wider turning radiuses, how is he going to be able to drive that on the streets?
@quadrapodacone4 жыл бұрын
@@bobos245 He would need a full cage and much better wheel/tire and suspension set up. there are actually quite a few 600whp street driven Miatas out there. kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6eYg5qfpLyNb68

"It feels like it'd be so much more rewarding to build something, than to just buy something." - The most inspiring story I've ever heard was back in the 50's (?) The Barris brothers' mom came home to find all of her cupboard handles missing one day. She went out to the barn to find the boys working on their 49 (or so) Mercury- which now had "bullets" across the center of the grille... her bullet-shaped cupboard handles. All that takes is a drill and a wrench. I've never understood the "instant gratification" of choosing a bolt-on OVER an idea, if you can wrench you can probably build. That's why I "frenched" (cut and pocketed the body) my Miata's outer rear quarters to fit RX-8 taillights. I'm almost entirely sure I'm the only one who's done it. Cuz why? If you can bolt in Altezzas or Euros or Blackouts? Cuz it was my idea. Maybe upholstery or even just embroidery is your skill, or audio, or strictly lighting, so why not use ideas if you have em? Always follow inspiration.
