The original script and concept art had the story mainly in New York with a final battle in Africa (presumably the Decepticons’ base) and they wanted Megatron as the main villain. They also wanted a few new Autobots like Trailbreaker, Sideswipe, and a few other characters that look like Windcharger, Jazz, Hound and Mirage. We were robbed. I feel like they could have easily just used this idea and saved money by not having gigantic set pieces until the end.

I’ve actually been very satisfied with the direction of the current “KnightVerse” as many are calling it. Bumblebee was a really great and emotionally driven film while ROTB had pretty enjoyable human characters, the action was awesome and I’m intrigued by the prospect of a GI JOE crossover next I’ll admit, while it was refreshing for the Autobots to finally fight a different enemy that WEREN’T the Decepticons, I feel like they’re still a loose end in this universe. Soundwave, Starscream and Shockwave are still out there, and we’ve yet to see Megatron in this universe yet. I wouldn’t be surprised if the next film sees the main Decepticons finally arriving on Earth which will force the Autobots to unite with the GI JOES to take them down, kinda like the NEST alliance in the BayVerse

Honestly, I don't see how that's better than ROTB The story is pretty basic and it seems to still follow Bayverse continuity despite being a reboot, at least ROTB introduced Maximals and was pretty much an apology for TLK But I liked the fight scene between Soundwave, Bee and Brawn, with the next movie likely being a G.I. Joe crossover I hope we will get a scene EXACTLY like this, with Autobots supporting and protecting humans (who knows, maybe even Transit can be reused AND they should finally introduce Megatron).

However, since transwarp involves time travel, who knows what's going on. One thing worth noting is that there was a cancelled Dinobot movie that would have explained some things in the last night. There's a lot from BB and ROTB that makes them not work. You have their arrival making being 20 years too early, their size not matching, Arcee arrived in 2008 or early 2009 not 1989, Wheeljack again arrived post 2009 but before 2013 and again his design and accent is different, No reference from Simmon, S7 itself talking about Dropkick and Shatter and the movies events, Optimus being aware of Unicron (despite never knowing of him in Bayverse), Maximals and Animal Transformers being hinted at as Myths/Legends in AOE

Well I think there is the same problem just like the deleted opening from rotb. Bumblebee ended with the decepticons not knowing where the autobots went, but in a short time after, they were on earth anyway. This making the ending of Bumblebee a bit pointless. I have a feeling we didn't get a Bumblebee sequel based on this comic because Paramount and Hasbro have finally decided to slightly reboot the franchise. I also have a feeling that this comic was already finished before Paramount and Hasbro decided to scrap the Bayverse TF cinematic universe. I guess both Paramount and Hasbro didn't want to waste it and decided to keep this as a special feature so the "Bumblebee" Blu-Ray sales would increase. I remember in an interview of Steven Caple Jr. he said he was originally brought in to direct Bumblebee 2 but he declined and instead pitched Transformers ROTB. Also, I remember in an article where Steven Caple Jr. mentioned that Charlie was meant to be in ROTB via a Polaroid photo which we saw in the Bumblebee movie which Bumblebee carries with him at all times.

Megatron is frozen yes but they can still go different routes with it such as the allspark not being on earth along with megatron. The only problem with the entire transformers movie timeline is so many things… Reboot and bayverse problems of the timeline: Bayverse bumblebee crashed landed during WW2 while in the REBOOT he crash landed in 1987 and in the bumblebee film shatter and drop kick should’ve found out about megatron and brake him out but also this sector 7 never knew bumblebee until 2007 but in bumblebee they knew him since 1987 and GI JOE since when was that in the bayverse so oh and TFONE there is no transformers one is connected like cybertron in the bayverse and the reboot is outside while cybertron is inside of earth but also sentinel prime was Optimus primes teacher in the bayverse while in the reboot he was the government of cybertron so here’s how I would do the reboot. Transformers bumblebees events would still happen but after that I would remove this entire comic and do this instead… Optimus prime would tell bumblebee to find a hidden secret place so the humans or any life form would notice leading to the base up in New York that abandoned area warehouse looking thing. And then sector 7 would try looking for them but fail as that’s where GI JOE would get made as they would spent 7 years looking for them and that leads to the events of RISE OF THE BEASTS in 1994 where the RISE OF THE BEASTS TIMELINE STILL HAPPENS!!!! But at the end of it the Autobots and maximals would team up with GI JOE and SECTOR 7 leading to the events of GI JOE X TRANSFORMERS will probably maybe happen if they don’t cancel it RIP TRANSFORMERS if it fails at the box office like transformers one did anyway bye

Sorry but bumblebee can be a camaro in 2 separate universes man, same way he can lack a voice in more than 1 universe. Is tfp or cyberverse canon to the bayverse cause bee lost his voice? Nope. Is animated canon to the bayverse cause both use the allspark as a plot device? Nope. Exactly. The knightverse can use bayverse elements but it's not canon to the bayverse overall. Pretty much all the transformers follow the bayverse design scheme outside of the Cybertron versions and Optimus prime. As far as I and probably the majority of the people watching, they are still Bayverse related. While Bumbleebee had the better story telling there isn't enough of a difference overall in the live action to really justify Separating it from the previous movies directed by Micheal Bay especially since Rise of the beasts pretty much killed off the live action as it sounds like they are planning to do a TRUE reboot next with the intention of including G.I. Joe from the beginning. Not that that's going to fair any better if the Asshat in charge of the previous Live GI Joe movies has any involvement. In other words these all these transformers live actions movies will be boxed together as the same universe once the true live reboot happens. Hell I beleive they sell all of them now as the complete Transformers Live collection of movies.

I’m surprised we were almost going to get a sequel to Bumblebee. Now I love the Bumblebee movie (Maybe that’s biased as I’ve said in Transformers videos that Bumblebee’s my favorite character in Transformers) as much as the next guy (In fact, not counting the animated films, I’d say Bumblebee’s the best Transformers movie), but I sincerely think the film works best as a standalone film, then a movie that deserves to get a sequel. Keep in mind, Bumblebee was originally going to be a prequel to Michael Bay’s Transformers, but it later became a soft reboot, and I think making a sequel to Bumblebee would make the film worse. It was better off to reference it in Rise of the Beasts, thereby making it a film following the events of that film while not being a sequel to it.

Whether you see it as canon to the bayverse or the knightverse is up to you as rotb never outright mentions the events of the comic but never contradict it either. Megatron's unused design is exactly that, unused so it's not his definitive knightverse design unless he physically appears with it. He can always have a more 07 inspired design with some g1 elements to it in a similar but opposite fashion to how tfp megatron has a more g1 inspired design with bayverse megatron elements.

Megatron at the end of the motion comic. Yep, the reboot want to stay away from having connections with the Bayverse. Also is it me or does Megatron have his RotF design or it just his 2007 design being difficult to see as it be cover in ice, not fully detailed, and being not the same art style in this reboot movie as everyone is more G1.

We all know The Bumblebee Movie was supported to be a Prequal to Michael's Transformers but shut that idea for good and reboot as a new universe. But Sector 7 was kept in when they hunted down Bumblebee and got fooled by the Decepticons to help them in the final build. I do like your videos.

I've never seen or heard of this comic before how cool to discover something new ^^ a bit irrelevant but I really really really hope megatron doesn't have his 2007 backstory in the new continuity like it would have been if they hadn't rebooted it. I don't see how it makes megatron look intimidating when the first thing we learn of him is that he crash landed on earth and is the reason humans even have the technology to combat cybertronians at all. hell he wasn't in the bumblebee movies battle and I just hope the reason isn't because he's stationary on earth frozen due to crash landing it's so anticlimactic

I wouldn’t have made sense because it would have connected to the Bayverse. A universe which in itself doesn’t make sense. But I would’ve loved to see the scrapped sequel and concept arts before they went the Beast War route.

Could be that Hasbro decided to leave making movies to the fans. Saves them a lot of money on marketing toys that have a reducing customer base since kids prefer digital entertainment.

Gonna check my copy of the bluray (in Australia so no idea if we get the same extras.) I really disliked Rise of the Beasties, not a surprise its a bits and pieces mashup movie. I really wish we got a Bumblebee sequel with the amazing bots shown at the start of the Bumblebee movie + Dino & Crosshairs (yeah I know you can't have everything.)

I feel like Paramount wanted One to fail so they could get more control. This debacle isn’t helping their case. Paramount needs to lose the rights. TFHypeGuy mentioned that New Line co-funds these movies with Paramount, so maybe Warner Bros. could acquire the rights from Paramount if Hasbro wants to move them. Or go to Universal and DreamWorks like a lot of people have said they want. Travis needs to come back and be a creative consultant at least along with Josh Cooley. Make that original script, give Bee a mouth and voice, make Optimus a gentle guy again and ditch the Bayverse altogether. Forge a new path for the franchise rather than being bogged down by something that wasn’t the best interpretation to begin with.
