There is a language barrier issue here. An “analogue Astronaut” in English would be the opposite of a “digital Astronaut”. In English these words should be flipped. They are Astronaut analogues, meaning a substitute or alternative type of astronaut. Cool video!

Your word order note is well taken, but you forget in writing your comment that "analog" ≠ "analogue". Spelling differentiates the 2 words.

While I appreciate space exploration and scientific advancement, this documentary uncritically promotes dangerous fantasies about Mars colonization that could risk human lives. The fundamental barriers to human survival on Mars - lethal radiation, toxic soil, no magnetic field, extreme temperatures, and lack of breathable atmosphere - aren't just "engineering challenges" to overcome, they're biological impossibilities for long-term human habitation. It's concerning to see respected media like DW presenting these unrealistic ventures without questioning the ethics of promoting schemes that could endanger human life. Instead of indulging in Mars colonization fantasies, we should focus on practical space applications and robotic exploration that don't put human lives at risk. The value of human life should always come before grandiose space colonization dreams.

Got to be a better, much wiser, and fully intelligent species first. The record so far doesn't look good for our species to be any different than what we've been like so far. Greed is the problem. Living within our means, wisely, sustainably is where we'd have to be already in embarking on such a project. (And looking at the biggest Mars promoter of all, Elon Musk, is a depressing example of why, generally speaking, humans are far from being good stewards of Earth, let alone somewhere else.) I used to be an enthusiastic supporter of things like human space exploration, but I was younger, and naive then. Also, Buzz Aldrin's support for Trump just added to my opposition to human space exploration and exploitation; which is what it really is all about, and for a teeny tiny fraction of the ultra wealthy anyway. So, f..k that. We homo sapiens have to grow up (if that's possible) a lot. We're still selfish adolescents.
