The BYD Seagull could be Europe's cheapest electric car

BYD has confirmed that it will bring its compact to Europe, potentially making it the most affordable electric car when it goes on sale. The Seagull is available with two battery sizes, providing driving ranges of between 300 and 400 kilometres.

Official figures for the CLTC test indicate 305kms for the smaller battery and 405kms for the larger capacity battery. Remember, it's a small, light car.

@@CompletecarIe CLTC is not a very good standard. You have to reduce the numbers at least by 20%. But this is still enough for a city car and most users.
