Gotta be honest, a movie where Larry was questioned to be insane or the monster being real would make a way better movie. In fact, have him not end his life. He lives thinking "I did it ... I'm the only one who will ever know." Then the monster or a split personality tries to spread the name. Or go with the monster idea and it does pass off to one person after the other. No reason either, it's just a demon or ghost that enjoys making people psychotic. I think a better movie with the whole monster that isn't unknown and you never get an answer on is Smile. We never learn why this monster does the whole person ends their life after seeing someone end their life except that is goes after people with traumatic lives, but why? We never learn and that's what makes it so terrifying because people with mental health issues or thinking about ending their life battle a monster that those around them don't understand. This is just poor writing. Happy Death Day makes more sense!

So it sounds like this film had the potential to be really good but it gets bogged down by horror movie cliches 🤔. The cinematography, color pallets, and film quality all look really good, clean and crisp. The beginning with Larry looks like a well-done scene that I imagine got great reactions from the audience. It reminded me of the Schumacher film Falling Down. Honestly it seems like if the movie was about him or the main teen seeing hallucinations and it caused them to do crazy stuff like murder people then that could have been interesting, but as Martin brought up we they wanted another horror movie icon, and it doesn't seem like bye bye man does enough to really make an impact 🤔. Lastly, I would have loved to see them flesh out the implication that the girlfriend is thinking ofthe black best friend while dating the main lead. How much cooler would it have been if they did show that they had secret thing going on or fell in love behind their friends back. My goodness this movie needs a rewrite 😆 😆.
