trisha paytas yes please! Because I don't have any resume! Thank you!
@hollypowell87166 жыл бұрын
Yes, you will need experience or else the casting people won't treat you like a serious actor. I'm not sure where you live, but try to get into an acting class in your area. That's the best place to start. Where do you live?

HI Holly! I love your videos so much and being a beginner they are reeeeaaallly helpful. I have faith in myself that I've got the skill and with a little elbow grease i can make it. I've live in rural area of Georgia and its really hard to find acting opportunities , there isn't even a decent class near my area how do i get my name out there and find auditions for different television networks and movies and such , please comment back i really need the advice.
@mvnyoongiix4 жыл бұрын
get an agent. if you can find an agency that doesn't require experience and NO paying. then do that, and also look online for auditions. or you can do a self tape.

I’ve wanted to be an actor since I was a young child. The problem is I live in Colorado and there’s not many opportunities out here. I’m a mother, as well so I can’t just take off to LA to try and pursue my dream. Does anyone have any tips on some steps I can take to get started? Maybe Barbizon? Or John Casablancas? Does anyone know where I can find auditions? **PLEASE HELP.**

Hi Holly! If you didn't know who you were reading to when walking into the room can you simply just ask who am i reading with?
@hollypowell87166 жыл бұрын
Yes Linh, that's exactly right. Ask: Who am I reading with? Or if you see someone sitting in the front and center with a scene in their hand ask: Am I reading with you? Take control of the audition from the beginning. Excellent! Holly

You want to act or be famous? because they are two totally different things. If you just want fame , then you should do something else.

+Holly Powell .well I still need help with ravens home I want to be on ravens home show
@hollypowell87166 жыл бұрын
Raven's Show is on the Disney Channel and the Casting Director is Howard Meltzer. Google him and find out his address and submit your picture and resume to him for the show. Write a personal note to him stating that you are an actor and you would like to come audition for him and the show. It's a place to start!

Hey Holly, what are the chances of becoming an actor for english movies when born in a foreign country. I feel like my country only support home made movies.
@hollypowell87166 жыл бұрын
So you live in England and are what nationality? It's true that most countries write and produce films that take place in their own country. But, scripts are filled with roles for all ethnicities and nationalities, so I would say your uniqueness is your strength. Your competition for the roles you are right for will be less! Embrace that!

Nothing useful here. Just basic common sense advice that every actor should know by now. Lesson learned is that you don't want to be actor. Be a film maker or director because they call the shots. Some directors star in their own movie instead of waiting for someone to cast them in a movie. Just remember that while you are using up your valuable youth trying to "make it" in Hollywood there are others busy investing in the stock market and real estate. In 20 years, chances are they will be retired because they made smart financial decisions while you are still struggling to get another acting job. Let that thought sink in.
