Valuable advice. As a filmmaker, it's frustrating working with the new generation of actors who don't value the roles they get booked for. Actors don't believe in paying their dues anymore and working their way up; they're on the quickest road to fame instead of being in love with the craft of acting as a storyteller -- with fame and fortune being a byproduct.

While I appreciate input from various types of acting coaches and casting directors, what I love about Wendy is how direct and honest she is. Case in point, if watching her videos hurts your feelings, that probably points to a behavior or attitude that you need to correct if you want to be successful as an actor! 😁🎬🎥

Completely agree! I have people sometimes ask advice about how to get started with acting and when I tell them how much money and time you need to invest for training, learning the business side, getting headshots, and making connections, way too often I get. “I don’t have the money” or “isn’t there another way?” I just say if you can’t find a way you don’t want acting as much as you think.

Unfortunately I haven’t had much training other than some small classes in Highschool, I’m 18 years old, I have 4 years to do in the Army, my question is if I get tons of training after I’m finished with the Army, do you think that an agent would take me (let’s say I’m 26 when I’m ready for an agent). Of course my dreams may be too big, as of course I would love to hit it big😂. I’m probably just overthinking this!
