My concern with buying proprietary actuators, is how long will the software be maintained. How long is the warranty, how long will they be serviceable and at what price. I have an SFX-100 and whilst it performs great I do look at the performance figures of the Qubic system and wonder. But I know the SFX-100 is forever, I can always replace the parts myself and the software is open source. I'd be really upset to spend 8000 bucks and have a problem a few years down the line. Quick moving parts & motors under 100kg of force will go wrong at some point.

What's the point in 35nm DD tho ?? I mean I literally see no reason ? I can drive either of my race cars shod in slicks with one hand , unless you are doing karting or maybe something from generations back it seems wasted, I have the 12nm Moza and it is already has plenty of overhead, I also have the 8nm Fanatec CSL , that was pretty damned decent as well with minimal clipping? Those Simucube pedals look neat tho :)
@AdamsOlympia2 ай бұрын
25nm Simucube owner here. From everyone I've heard who owns both the 25nm and the 32nm Simucube wheelbase, it sounds like they can't really tell much, if any difference. It's at the point of diminishing returns beyond 25nm imo.. . But going from 8 to 12 to 25nm is still quite a difference in the level of detail, the ability to convey crisp, controlled transient spikes. It's very similar to the logic behind getting high wattage speaker amplifiers -- you can hear the difference even when you're not cranking the volume up to max; up to a certain point.
@alphastratus66232 ай бұрын
Since I drive in VR the 8Nm doesn't feel enough at all. It feels like the starter Logitech at a display. It somehow looks similar, but the feeling is barely there. I'm not sure if I will be happy with 12 Nm (even if my wallet prefer a moderate upgrade).

Simlab looks like it's using Kollmorgen or Lenze motor. Really excited to see what they come up with. Kerb and track limit hits with the Lenze feel a lot more substantial than with the Simucube, even with no filtering. I don't know if it's the lower-res encoder, the servo controller, or just material differences that create different resonance frequencies. But the SC2 feels a bit "thin" even if it has double the torque that you really need.

Im so so hype, I'm so so happy to see most of the stuff shown is officially launching in 2025. New wheelbases, new wheels etc. So good Im 100% buying a simlab wheelbase. Idc what anyone says or reviews I want it. Luckily I have only heard amazing things so thats great. I love love that flow and bounce it has with suspension. So good Some brands don't do great with the loading and unloading feel one brand in specific that I shall not name that some really like. It feels over direct and dense and the unloading feel isn't there like I like. That floating where the edge of grip helps you push so much and that wheelbase was missing it. I wan tto be able to play with the edge of grip not just be stuck on the edge without feeling the variances of each step. This wheelbase looks like it does it incredibly well. May sound weird but I'm usually able to tell just by watching how it moves. If it looks floaty or bouncy like this with nice ranges of movement from said forces and details instead of just tiny ones usually that means it will have that amazing suspension and feel of grip I'm looking for. Isntwad of overly tight or dense feeling without being able to push past it. I will def be getting the mustang wheel also. Wait nvm 2k? Hell no i ain't paying that for a 1.1kg minimal wheel. Also pagani motion rig is the best I've ever ever used. Its perfect in feel and not uncomfortable.
