I miss the old days when a couple danced together, not just near each other ;-P Who would've thunk it would be twice as silly for BOTH people to be looking for their next partner at the same time. lol I can't help but think this "evolution" was mostly about more teachers and coaches selling more lessons and coaching.

The ladies' posture and top line with this style of competition ballroom is ridiculous.

Totally agree. Should we a lack of respect for women expecting such posture that can only cause we serious spinal and nerve ther consequences later.

9:00, More space between the top lines, less Palm hold from the hand, wrist apart, Stronger contact in center to allow the moving space in actions.

Without the principles of swing sway turn, you can't develop 3D.

Not every step can be 3D, Chasse is not 3D, 3D requires Turing and revolving....

Actually you can built in a little 3d in Chasse, at least if you dance it from PP and let it follow by a Natural Turn. You can achieve it by using a little swaying/ tilting action between the start after pp just till after the closing the feet. This movement can be enhanced by hovering while closing the feet. Wondering what i mean. Every modern real advanced competition couple use this in this version of the Chasse. Not that you see this version that much nowadays.
