I think part of why Yvette is so inspiring is because she's very self-aware about what experiences inform her songwriting and playing. So many excellent players don't know how to verbally communicate very well. She's a very holistically expressive artist.

There’s no easy resolution to the work it takes to be professional classical musician and the wrecking of a childhood. It’s the same in gymnastics and countless other time sensitive pursuits. I am so glad that Yvette was able to survive and thrive. Her music and musicianship inspire me to no end. Interesting that she had a similar thought on being able to write and performed songs without pedals, as Mario from CHON said something similar about learning to play really well before plugging into anything beyond an amp.

I would 100% buy that Talman in that exact colour, or a blue version. Her pink one looks great too! Hurry up Ibanez lol

I rarely comment on videos and have seen at least 50 of yours. I also subscribe to 15 or so other channels. You have had some amazing guests lately (Walter Trout, Tommy Emmanuel, people with a century of music history between them) and they were incredibly enjoyable. This was however without a doubt one of the best and most entertaining episodes I have ever seen. She is a charm, and you are such a gracious and thoughtful host. You two could have been talking about pancakes and aliens and I would have been hypnotized. Well done!!
