No Max Martin has nothing to do with her record label issues. He's a producer. He works with many artists, hes not tied to a label. Scott Borcetta is the owner of Big Machine Records which was Taylors old label. He sold her masters to Scooter Braun who is Justin Bieber and Arianas manager. He's a kind of music entrepreneur.

MORE TAYLOR!! That video, showcasing her rapping, is real! It's a joke, though. It was done quite a few years ago and that's why her voice sounds so high, rapping is out of her comfort zone (or atleast it was then) and it wasn't supposed to be perfectly executed. YBWM (You Belong With Me) comes off as more satire. The MV is exaggerated and fun, she's playing into the popular tropes of that time because she's smart. Sure, some of the lyrics can be viewed as being more "pick-me" but I see it as her expressing her desperation and insecurities. "she's your girlfriend, she's gorgeous and fits all these standards but you're not into her. and i wish you'd just look my way, even if im not this stereotypical, perfect, popular, pretty girl". Max Martin is a well known producer. And that's all he was for Taylor Swift. The people you're thinking of are Scott Borchetta, her previous label owner and the seller of her discography, and Scooter Braun, the buyer. Scooter Braun wasn't someone Taylor worked with, she never liked him, he was always quite aggressive towards her. When Scott told her that he wouldn't let her buy her albums, she had countless conversations with him, asking him not to sell to Scooter. This is why she's re-recording. She wants to own her stories, her dairies. But she's also making a point, showing that artists can and should stand up for themselves, especially when it comes to young women who are consistently taken advantage of, just as she was. She was 14 when she was signed, Scott took advantage of her. She built his company from the ground up and deserves her recognition. The hate she received for not being a loud and proud activist was stupid. She's one person, she's figuring out life and her place in it. She has her family and career to protect, not to mention her own physical and mental/emotional health. In 2016 she was extremely depressed, it's not fair to beat her down for not allowing more backlash to hit her if she had spoken about the election. She always tried to make sure people knew she was on the right side, the media doesn't care about that, though. Why must women fix everything for everyone else? No one attacks male artists for not using their platform 24/7. The Kanye & Kim situation still infuriates me. People are so bitter and toxic, I hate how our self hatred is projected onto others - one of the biggest flaws in being a human being stuck in a disgusting, exploitative society. Kanye has had a creepy obsession with Taylor since she was 19 (in fact, there's been a series of creepy older men forming weird obsessions over her, or simply assaulting her etc). Taylor always tried to make things right with him, but he so desperately wanted to break her down - oh the broken egos of men. Not only did he harass her, illegally record a phone call and have his wife edit it to form a narrative, but he used her naked body to further intimidate her. I have no idea how she was able to move forward in such a mature way. What a beautiful soul. You can tell she has a good heart and has learned alot, I really admire optimistic and strong people like her. People who don't let things ruin them and instead allow it to help them grow, flourish. Take a look at where they all are now and that tells you everything about the kind of people they are. Kanye is still begging for attention and attacking artists for dumb shit, the Kardashians are no longer the influencers they once were - also desperately trying to keep eyes on them. While Taylor Swift is thriving, she's never been bigger or seemingly happier. Taylor Swift is one of a kind. Everyone has their eyes on her, unfortunately this means so do the most hateful people. She gains the wrong attention because she is all the right, because she's a successful woman who isn't afraid of herself or society. She's opened so many doors, she's truly one of the greats. Her career has been incredible and I know she still has so much more to show. Because of her deep love for writing, I suspect, she'll be one who'll continue to release until they pass. What re-recording do you think is next?

Taylor has 3 or 4 interviews with Zane Lowe but I highly recommend the one from December 2020 for her Apple Songwriter of the Year win. It’s an hour long but it goes into Folklore/Evermore a lot, her personal life, the re-recordings, her view of the music industry etc it covers a lot and is the most recent.

About her reading much: I think you would enjoy Jack Edwards' series where he reads all books celebrities have recommended and points out references and stuff. This was super interesting, your points about her new inspirations was one of the smartest things I've heard about music. You keep killing it with the videos. Also me not being from the US I didn't experience most of the Taylor backlash and I remember being super confused about the "white surpremacist" stuff, honestly in my little corner of Europe most people don't even know Kayne West so Taylor mostly got good press even during 2016/2017.

Just to add.. this isn’t how it goes in other countries.. in my country the media has to follow rules and laws.. the things said in American media would never ever be in Swedish media. So this is due to society culture and lack of rules, laws and consequences. It should never ever be ok to treat a person the way Taylor was treated.

The video is the one for Ready For It. The effects are awesome. You should react to it. :) She did another long interview with Zane Lowe in 2020 when she was honored with Songwriter of the year. It's really good and interesting. She talks about her songwriting process for Folklore and Evermore. It's nearly an hour long. I'd love to see you reacting to it. He really is a great interviewer. :) It's amazing and even more sad to see what people wrote about her. But you can find something bad in everything if you want I guess. And I'm sure you get a lot of clicks and views if Taylor's included. :/

Funny enough when talking about new characters for her music now, back in the day she had songs that eventhoug she sang them in first person were actually based on a 3rd person. Good examples of that are on debut album "mary's song" is based on her neighbors "love story" (no pun intended) and "speak now" (the song not the album) is actually based on a friend of hers who received the wedding invitaton from an ex boyfriend and they were talking on how it would be if she attended (the friend not taylor) and what would she do since she still kinda had feelings for him. So yeah folklore and evermore are MUCH MORE focused on stories and new characters BUT they were not the first time she had done it. Obviously the first attempts can be consider sweet, corny, and childish (maybe) compared to the more mature perspective and topics from the las two albums
