This song is basically Swiftie's anthem at this point. Taylor said that the fans changed her perspective of the song, from feeling pain everytime she play this on stage, to remembering us screaming the lyrics and crying our heart together with her. I remember first time I listen to this song, I can picture it in my head because the 5 minutes version was already detailed. And now with this short film, I finally can see the whole picture moving (especially with the line dancing around the kitchen in the refrigerator light), thats exactly how I picture it on the song. All of the song is her experience. She dated jake gyllenhaal. She was 20 and he was 30 which is why they got Sadie sink (19) and Dylan o’Brian (29) to make it realistic as there was a big age gap and that’s why jake broke up with her. The lyric about him keeping her scarf coz it reminds him of innocence is because he took her virginity away and then dumped her. Also the lyric about her getting older but his lovers stay her age is about jake always having young girlfriends he is 40 now and is dating a 25 year old model. She’s just an amazing storyteller and the short video conveyed the lyrics perfectly the actors were amazing the fact that the scene of her doing the dishes is all improv is so cool because they clearly had great chemistry. Overall it’s a masterpiece

Why the song is so long... Taylor said she was feeling very sad and everyone just understood not to bother her. She grabbed a guitar and started randomly singing this song and slowly everyone else joined in for 10-15 minutes. After that, her mom went to the audio guy asking if he got the whole thing on tape and he did. Taylor thought 10 minutes was absurd so she crossed out a lot of verses and released a 5 minutes version instead. Taylor said the song is her personal favorite, but it was never a single thus why you've never heard of it, but it immediately became fans' favorite too and when we found out there was a 10 minutes version, we went on fire asking for the full version. That's why we made it such a huge deal. We've been asking for this for YEARS!

I feel like we get to know the whole story of the song. Actually, it was long because it's the 10-minute version of the song. The original length was almost 5 minutes, it was released from her 4th studio album RED (2012). It was a fan favorite song and ever since she talked about it that it was originally a 10 minutes or more, the fans is asking if she could released it. As you know, she is re-recording her first six albums ( Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation) to owned and have a control on her music. She already released the first re-recording last April, which is the Fearless (Taylor's Version). And on November 12, she released her version of RED (Taylor's Version), it contains 30 tracks, and finally she released the 10 minute version of All Too Well. Yeah, many people probobly never heard the song because it was never released as a single like the classics 22, We Are Never Ever Geting Back Together, and I Knew You Were Trouble. The song was like a gem in Taylor's discography and has a special placed in every Swifties. I'm happy because it was finally getting the recognition it deserved. It was Taylor's most personal song and probobly her best song she ever written. I recommend you to listen to RED TV, even if you listen to it on your own. It was such a cool experience, experiencing RED again.
