Nice video Jay... Doing a Carli total front end upgrade on my 2018 RAM 2500 with 28,000 miles.Thanks.

Just an fyi, they’re both hollow.. and an alignment should be done after install, which I don’t believe you mentioned.

If you wanna feel a difference, do the full Carli leaf springs. Don't forget the Thuren shackels.

Making me wish my 2012 was a year newer with how easy that install was! I have a Thuren sway bar on the way from CJC as of yesterday. Anxious to see if it gives a nice improvement. Currently on Thuren 2" springs, track bar, Thuren King 2.0 IFP shocks all around, and King steering damper. Stock leaves for now which I know is my true limiting factor. If I do leaves I'll probably go Carli because they won't lift the rear much. The Thuren spring on the early truck will make the rear pretty tall for me at 5' 10" the bed in plenty high now on 35" tires. Especially since I might go 37s when it's time for tires again.

How do u like your setup? I am looking at doing the same. Just .5 in springs since my truck is on road only. Cjc said fox 2.0 from carli are best bang for buck. How do u like the thuren kings?

I have a 17 2500 Quadcab shortbed. Running the 3.25" Backcountry system with track and sway bar, only thing I left off was the Radius arms (and steering stabilizer left stock). Now a couple months later I ordered the Radius arms and cand wait to see the difference when I get around to installing! Did you hold off on the limit straps? I figure as long as I keep the tires on the ground they can wait till I can have a shop weld up the bracket/tab right? I'll letcha know what I think

how did the radius arms work out for you?
@DdDten5 жыл бұрын
Question? If you say buy a carli kit and add other pieces when you save more money haha do you have to get an alignment done. So for instance you added the arms did you have to get a your truck aligned and when you add sway system will you need one or another alignment just curious

I have a '04.5 Ram 2500 with a pintop, short control arms, and the torsion swaybar. I love the Carli swaybar at speeds under 70mph and in any kind of dirt.... I hate it when I'm towing the 5th wheel... My truck has too much "wander" when towing at highway speeds. When I upgrade to a '21-'22 3500 the swaybar is not going to be part of that build.

This is nonsense. Even Carli's own video on these admits 99% of people don't need them. The said they have never had a factory arm fail despite massive abuse. The only reason to buy this is looks or severe rock climbing or sand dune jumping. Nothing wrong with buying something for looks, but say that. Don't portray this as needed.

So your saying they help?.....just say that without the crying rant.
@patrickgregory79202 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's about not breaking. If you have a lift/level kit it moves the axel back and these move it back into position from what I understand.
@JOHNWAYNE19202 жыл бұрын
@@patrickgregory7920 They have adapters that do that. You don't need the expensive radius arm

Hey Jay, looks good. Curious... I too did the Carli level kit on my 13 SRW 3500 at CJC. Good dudes! Why did you decide not to go with the Carli radius arm drop brackets? I swear CJC told me they were required to get the correct geometry back, even with the Carli radius arms. Let me know your thoughts. Late..
@Sdukes001 Жыл бұрын
It depends on the kit the leveling kit doesn’t need them but the 3.25 inch lift does

Hey Jay, looks awesome! Nice work! Did you install the S&B Cold Air Intake yet?
@JayFlatOut5 жыл бұрын
Nope the stock air box performs better most say
@gunfreak19115 жыл бұрын
Manuel Gonzalez stock air box on Cummins flows enough air for more hp than the 68RFE trans can even handle. Waste of money to buy cold air intake for these trucks

Better off spending the money on a 4-link conversion. You will a lot more adjustment in caster and axle centering along with better articulation and no bind.
@christieman40014 жыл бұрын
Manjinder Singh why do you think they went away from 4 link after 2012? Because radius arm is better for 95% of truck owners.
@Manis-World4 жыл бұрын
@@christieman4001 the older 4-link factory setup was garage.. short arms super weird mounted pivot points. Have you ever owned a long arm 4-link truck ? The ride is night and day different than any radius arm can provide. To understand why, you have to look at how the axle rotates as it moves up and down with radius arms vs keeping the same caster throughout travel with a proper 4-link. Matter of fact I converted from a radius arm on a 6" lift (longer radius arms, not cheap drop brackets) setup to 4-link and there's a huge difference in the way it drives/handles and the ride quality
@christieman40014 жыл бұрын
Manjinder Singh for sure if you are mobbing your 4ton investment, but if you’re like 95% of people out there looking for a slight increase in off-road performance will still maintaining all the attributes of what the truck was designed for, radius arms yield a much smoother on road ride. although much stronger, the Carli arms just get you better turn radius with big tires.

So freaking awesome!! Congratulations buddy!! 😎👍 I can’t wait to put a 6” on my 2019 Ram Bighorn 1500 . I just don’t know what brand will keep me as close to the stock factory ride but still give me the occasional off road performance.
