Man, hats off for Ricky Rubio providing professional, veteran leadership, offense and quality defense prior to his injury. It's a bittersweet move. It would've been cool to see Rubio reap some benefit of his part in Cleveland's resurgence, but getting a taller backcourt mate (and Ohioan) for Garland is a great move. Ricky Rubio probably won't see this, but you're greatly appreciated.

The Eastern Conference is stacked this year. From the Bulls, to the Cavs, to the Heat. The Nets can be great if they can build more chemistry and play their stars. There’s the bucks defending their trophy from last year, and there is the Sixers who are playing great without their other super max player. I would not be surprised to see any of these teams make it to the finals this year

Damn the Cavs have really shut up they’re haters man, I remember that people used to say Jarrett Allen was a bad trade for the Cavs, Garland was a question mark, Kevin Love should be traded or Collin Sexton should be traded and even tho no one questioned the Mobley pick, the fit was the question and this season answered all of those and proved alot as well, Garland is an all-star Caliber player and should be kept on the roster, Allen is one of the best big men in the league, a great defender and an all-star caliber player, Mobley is one of if not the best rookie in this class and defensively he is in my opinion, Kevin Love provides great veteran support, knowledge and minutes of the bench, Collin Sexton is a great scorer for the Cavs( tho he will be a free agent this year and he might get traded or he might stay who knows), and lastly they’re trade for Levert seals the deal in my opinion, with the bench being pretty good to, The Cavs are one of the best teams in the league and the East, which I expected them to become but not this early which is insane, they might get to the playoffs for the first time in a minute without LeBron which just shows how good the Cavs are being built rn.

As a Cavs fan, I love and hate this trade. Yes, of course we get that secondary playmaker we were missing, but I don't really feel that great. Mainly because it means we are ready to move on from Sexton. Of course we can always bring him back, but I'd want Collin to start. Idk if JD would start Collin over Levert depending on the Cavs performance during the rest of this year, and he prob wouldn't give up the triple 7-footer backcourt setup (w/ Lauri, Mobley, and Allen) bc its working so much.

Caris worth more - but it doesn't really matter. The Pacers had to pull this trade at this trade line, and there is no team that needs this type of player except the cavs - so, I guess the situation made them settle for a worse deal than what the max they could've get. But I think both teams won - the Cavs got a very good player to feel the gaps of Rubio for 20+ pick and a 2nd, and the pacers added a young player to be added for them this offseason for a player that is not a part of their future. The Cavs are buyers and the pacers are sellers

First round picks mean nothing in the NBA unless it’s a lottery pick… Teams are always trading out of the their mid-high 20’s pick.. This isn’t the NFL where draft picks are more valuable.. Cavs easily won this trade. They basically acquired Levert for a 2022 first round pick (lottery protected) and a 2027 second round pick. Yes, they gave up Rubio but he’s injured for the rest of season and could possibly come back to the Cavs in free agency. And yes, the Cavs gave up a 2022 second round pick this year but they get one back from the Pacers too, so that cancels out.. Easy Cavs won this trade!!

love the trade from both sides. I think both sides got what they needed. Cavs get another guard that can come in and get BUCKETS and hopefully help them go far in the playoffs. Pacers free up some cap space and get another young piece in the draft. And let’s not forget Ricky Rubio…one of the most underrated playmakers in the league. The impact he will make on the Pacers will be exceptional. Now all they need is to get healthy!
