Thats always the case for first deliveries of a super in-demand car, especially in today's market. Porsche is not limiting production, and they've massively increased GT car production volumes. So hopefully most buyers can't get one before production ends.

Incredible car… but for what they’re actually going for with ADM (assuming you can even get an allocation) the DeMan or BGB route is still going to be a far better value for most people assuming it’s not a dedicated track toy.

5:18 I love my GT4 RS. FYI that you can get the Weissach package without the magnesium wheels but if you select magnesium wheels then you have to also get the Weissach package. Good thing I wanted both!

This is my favorite gauge cluster. I’m not a fan of a digital gauge clusters that most manufacturers are moving towards. At least this cluster won’t be aging terribly.

Next one will be EV i'm sure of it. This generation of ICE is it, development has stopped. VAG, Merc, and BMWs next gens will all be at the very least EV/hybrid and they've been very transparent about it. This car is potentially the absolute pinnacle of Porsche. A true holy grail car.

Porsche said the car is unlimited production which means everyone should be able to get one. The dealer has no problem getting ppl onto the list but they wanna jip customers 6 figures first. The car at MSRP is a no-brainer but I ain’t trading in my manual GT4 and drop another 150K+ on top just for a gt3 engine. 300K for a gt4Rs just ridiculous. Porsche headquarter needs to regulate the greedy dealers and let us get a chance to enjoy the car.

I did a track day at the Bedford Autodome UK.There were a variety of sports cars available including Mercedes, TVR, Lotus Elise, Aston, some Caterhams and a couple of Porsches, the cars were all used hard during the day but the only cars still running at the end of the day were the two Porsches and one Mercedes, all the others had either mechanical issues or had chewed up their tyres.

Great explanation about the big changes between the regular GT4 and the RS. That sound is insane. Too bad it will take at least two years to get one unless you are a 918 VIP or get lucky enough to get the opportunity to pay a $150k or higher dealer mark-up over sticker. Thats $320, 000 optioned like this one. McLaren money. By the way, at the speeds you were hitting, I was glad to see you were wearing a helmet. I think you should consider wearing a fireproof suit though next time. No matter how good a driver you are, on a track at anything over 7/10ths things can get out of control fast and a fire can happen. Not something you want to happen to you in short sleeves. Be safe out there so you can keep on making more videos!

At Porsche they are masters of packaging, I can't imagine how hard it is for the engineering team work around the bodywork constrains and not change crucial parts of the car that otherwise would need to be re-homologated, all of that while making it reliable and workable on the assembly line. I honestly don't think Porsche makes much margin on these. Can't wait to see what an MR version would be like.

My good friend got one at List... What... He put down a deposit over 5 years ago on the off chance that the thing was ever made. Back then they would not even talk about if one was going to be made. Last month he gets his notice from the Dealer that he will get one and fill out the build sheet. He was shocked. He may be one of the few "regular" people to get one. He is not a buyer of the 918, nor has he bought 7 Turbo S. Just got lucky and put down a deposit.I can't wait to see how he specs it out.

I guess 2nd gear ends at about 67 mph instead of 77 in the GT4. *Update*: The 67 is the figure from the AutoTrader video. Other reviewers - like Matt - speak of 72 mph.

@@CG-rb4xo AFAIK the 7th gear in this RS model is shorter than the 6th gear in the manual version of the Cayman GT4. OTOH in many sportscars of other brands this wouldn't be considered as crazy short (if the 2nd is really going up to 72 mph - see my update above).

I own both cars (see my channel) and my GT3 is more fun because it's a manual transmission. It's also over 100 lbs lighter, has a more sophisticated front suspension, 9 more HP, 15 more lb-ft, and way more dowmforce. Andreas Preuninger said they don't hold back on any car in order to maintain proper performance comparisons among the model hierarchies, but they obviously do because why would a smaller dimension car that's an RS be heavier? Exactly. Can't let it beat big brother, especially not on the Nürburgring, where the GT3 is about 10 seconds quicker than the GT4 RS. Car and Driver also tested the GT3 at 2.7s 0-60 and the GT4 RS at 2.8s. The only thing better about the GT4 RS, IMHO, is the sound. And you know i'm not a hater because I own both cars. I also own a 992 GT3 Cup, Macan S (soon to be upgraded to the Cayenne Turbo GT), and my 992 GT3 RS arrives next month.
