It’s worse here, our economy is like a flailing fish, fighting for its life. The normal state of the U.S. economy is actually very bad. Because of this it goes into convulsive spasms fighting to grow any way it can out of desperation. Tricks, gimmicks, rule changes try to stimulate the economy and prevent it from falling but they only bring temporary relief to people since, when you factor in inflation we are declining.
@theTeslaking4 күн бұрын
People believe their currency has the worth it does because they have no other option. Even in a hyper-inflationary environment, individuals must continue to use their hyper-inflationary currency since they likely have minimal access to other currencies or gold/silver coins.
@JosephMartin72264 күн бұрын
Inflation is gradually going to become part of us and due to that fact any money you keep in cash or in a low-interest account declines in value each year. Investing is the only way to make your money grow and unless you have an exceptionally high income, investing is the only way most people will ever have enough money to retire.

As someone who grew up in Grand Cayman and has lived here my entire life, I must applaud this documentary. I’ve been watching you for years and never in my right mind did I expect a video on our little slice of paradise. Addressing our history, current status and future outlook, it’s very well researched and put out. Regarding the cost of climate change, massive implications over the last few years due to residential and commercial development alongside massive beach erosion from recent storms has already begun decimating our western coast (7 Mile Beach). Besides some incorrect information, such as about some not having running water or power and the crocodiles/alligators, very well put. Thank you for this Simon.

I think there a hidden code in the way he keeps his door shutter staged, behind him, most of the time. If we seen only the thickness edge of the door, it is a '0'. If, one sees a perspective staging of the door, extend the perspective lines to the vanishing point, till it intersects the objects on the shelf, it is a '1'. Watch it for a hundred video uploads for a pattern. The spectrum of the light from his lamps are also a clue, to which I have not figured.

Simon: Long time fan and love your videos and sense of humor. Not sure if you read comments or, take viewer suggestions for a new video, but: As an Americian (Yank, lol), we have always been facinated by this simple question - Why do people with a Brittish accent make an "r" sound at the ends of words ending in an "ah" sound? I know it has to do with whether it is proceeded by a vowel or not yet: You have a great way of informing us of how and why a certain thing is. This would be of interest from a linguistics standpoint and perhaps a historical one. Inquiring non-Brittish minds would like to know the how's and why's, lol. (P.s. We love to hear words like scuba - to Americians, phonically pronounced, "skoo-bah" versus "skoo-ber"). There has to be a history/back story there. Thanks, keep up the great work!
@amandarust2849Ай бұрын
The British didn’t always speak this way. Shakespeare and Chaucer spoke English with an accent, similar to American English. The reason the current British accent exists, is snobbery. Around the time of the American Revolution, rich, young Brits wanted another way to differentiate themselves from common/poor Brits. So they intentionally dropped the hard “r”. It’s called Received Pronunciation.

Remember- the eye of a hurricane is calm. But if you happen to be wherever the northeast corner of the storm passes over (specifically - N.E. and close to the eye) THAT is the actual worst place to be, cause thats where the hurricanes keep their pet tornados. And i promise you, hurricanes can seriously suck, but even if you get lucky and that storm drops to a cat 1 before it hits you, it still have an army of tornados on the NE corner. So yeah. Aside from storm surge or flash flooding and stuff... theres hella tornados and they can litterally form at any point in a matter of seconds.

The Cayman Islands are also statistically the worst populated location in the world for tropical cyclones!
