Loving this series! I definitely agree about the bank being an awkward size/shape: personally, I'd set it up in a more 'plaza' style area, a bit away from a proper financial district, perhaps opposite a town hall or something to make it look like an older, more ornate area of the city (maybe nearer the college or a park?). Then you can keep the more modern, high rise style offices where they're currently placed as a Banking district like you find in most European capitals where the biggest buildings are often in a more newly developed area, and older, traditional ones are off in another quarter.

The 'new' button to get rid of the zoning overlay when zoning is esc key. Also sorry for my comment last week regret it, but i think it's a great feurutre in a game not having poket cars like CS1 and that they need to find parking, and the main issue for like the public transportation, walkability and driving in your city is that it's seperated by the river, there should be a padestrian bridge over it, and many more will walk and less drive and less overfilled buses. I study planning so seeing the parking situation is interesting for me ig. Also would love to see you use mods for CS2!

I just finished watching all episodes, i really enjoy the procces of how are u building the city step by step , district by district, all the small details and stuff it gives the city a lot of personality and make it more realistic. I can't wait for the next episode.

For the car parks, just add a roundabout in front of them with a short nub-street that leads into the car park. Biggest reason car parks cause traffic jams is due to the cars' pathing

Please redo your public transport routes, i would recommend you have a tramline connect the eastern city to west dense area, maybe have like 4-5 collector stops on the east and 1 stop on the west right outside a metro station. Also i think having your own 500 space parking garage is completely fine, 200 spaces is way too small for how many people the game adds. I love the series btw, i look forward to every new video!

Really like the way you cleaned up the Mixed zoning buildings, they look a lot more realistic and 'tidy' being wall to wall. And also love the idea of pedestrian streets between the skyscrapers, very realistic. If you walk in areas such as Canary Wharf for instance, it's not like fields of grass between the towers but more like plaza-like pavements so big thumbs up for this idea! Btw the word you were probably looking for related to the patches under trees on pavement is planter 😄 As for the district name, well, if it's financial heart of the region maybe - just like THE City - name it City of Blackwater? 😄

I think if you add a slipway from a roundabout; maybe make the incoming from where you connect the slipway too; make it a one way? It would probably get rid of that left turn you tried to negate

wen i use Taa high setting with 8x multisample,then icons above the homes going away, and also the gridlines for buying land,but like you say ,the buildings look lots better.

I did use TAA but changed to SMAA as was having issues with the map tiles fading, someone on the steam discussion group told me as they also had the same issue and now it seems to have been resolved

Call it 'Central Heights' or 'High Banks' Name corrospondes well to the type of area you have made based on the buildings high densities and the central bank being the main focal point to the area.

You can probably make the metro stops rather denser. Rule of thumb from Berlin is 1 km between two stops!

I vote for minimal mods. Maybe a few qol or basic cosmetics. Something like the road setting template you mentioned. But I prefer as few mods as possible

what Henry said, new beachfront zoning. I guess in this game they're breaking up the zoning types with DLC. So its still low density residential, but you get to specify what type of buildings appear.

I had that same issue with TAA the other day, someone in the steam discussion group told me to go with SMAA and it brings the map tiles into view when I purchase a map tile as they weren't showing up for me for some reason, not sure if it will work for your issue

Im pro mods that you want to use. Anything that you think would improve the build since content is always more enjoyable to watch when the creator is having fun playing the game. You already use the developer mode so it's "technically" not vanilla so I dont see why you shouldnt use mods if you want to use some

Please fix the metro, you broke it last episode and i keep seeing the indicator that its broken. Its right by the fancy foot bridge you built last episode. You moved the metro station and just never re connected the tracks underground

The tracks have actually never been connected, its always had the icon - but I’m doing metro in next episode anyways so itll be fixed then!

In about an hour or so I'll report back, however, after reviewing the previous video prior to responding, you did disconnect, the only matter is if the entire network was connected or not. Stand by while I verify. Love you bro, keep up the amazing videos, glad to be subscribed to someone who might be my subject if 189 people suddenly have heart attacks. I hate cars in rl. I would force people to use public transport and build a really nice system of buses and trams and even trains. There is no reason to take a car inside the city if you can easily take the bus!
