My view on this is that LOVE IS LOVE! No matter what you look like. You should be aloud to be with or look like what you want to look like. It is sad that people have to talk about and have negative comments about people and who they love. I am half black and half white so I understand the negative comments and the shaming of different diversity people or same sex relationships. Someone made a good point with all this racism how can you talk to or have a conversation with your children or family if you have 2 parents who are different colors. I hope one day it changes! It hurts me still that there are still people like that today. It's sad I have a biracial son and when he gets older his dad and I have to talk to him about being biracial and the world we live in today. Also my son growing up and him being a young black man. That is all this world will look at is just him being black and a man even though he is biracial. My mom is white and my dad is black every time I would go to the store I would always get stares and people talking under their breath. Videos like these are great to watch and our younger generation should watch these types of videos. WE ARE ALL THE SAME! JUST BECAUSE WE ARE A DIFFERENT COLOR THAT DOESN'T MEAN WE ARE DIFFERENT. WE ALL DO THE SAME THING; PLAY SPORTS, WATCH TV, GO TO SCHOOL AND LIVE THE SAME. WE ARE NOT DIFFERENT WE ARE ONE THE SAME!

Why do we call the mother white and not Caucasian, while we call the father African American and not black?
@swtv17546 жыл бұрын
Eric Crawford The only people that I know that say African American are white liberal people who have ZERO "African American" friends. Also, North Africans are not black! I live in Seattle which has a somewhat large (for USA) East African immigrant refugee population, and they would NEVER call themselves African American!
@queenamozjah72856 жыл бұрын
GREAT QUESTIONS! You have to keep in mind that this is from CBS. They try to cater mainly to certian audiences which is what they call white Americans, while not trying to appear descrimating. But when you watch their news they publicise more black and Hispanic criminals than they do the white ones when in fact it's in reality the opposite. The what they call white people have the highest crime rates. False imprisonments (often with life or near life sentences over mistominers [spelled wrong perhaps], state crimes or NO crimes at all), You should look into the profits made by the American prison system. Also the word white is made up by suprimest who believe that they must keep their "race" pure to "survive" [they never say what they need to survive from], and they also made up the word race I order to keep divide in particularly america [they don't believe in mixing races]. They've been around for a long time, mainly the Puritans and then the Roman Catholics when first colonizing Amer. and they used to be pushed away by other lighter skinned humans of what's considered today as Europe. Their main reasons for their hateful minds are due to ignorance and major major deep-set fears (they believe their own made up/imagined fear-based fables about their perception of the outside of their minds world). People who aren't racist, fearful, and ignorant are not white! They only use that lable as a Sense of intitlement, 'white' privilidge and what they are learning to be, a false security. African Americans is a given lable (which whites call a 'term') to black Americans by those white suprimest. The words 'white' person is (worldwide) a negative -if not fully derogatory- thing. Black Americans generally don't accept that term/lable. African Americans are from Africa. "Black" has been used so negatively by the white Americans and by the racist media, music industry, etc. that many blacks don't like using that word as point of reference to themselves. Yet in Africa, South America, the Caribbean, etc. they are proud to say that they are black. Both wonderful cultures in America , Black and "white" non-discriminating americans need to title/term/lable themselves agreeably and go on with the future with fair laws that are honestly just and they should have more harmony. And the Caucasians are in a particular Mt. region, so Americans can't call themselves that unless they are from that area. America is greater when the last time get fair and the diversity that it truly is gets accepted and internationally recognized in favor of ALL America not just pre-Dominantly "white" made great again. American news hardly talks about the their South America; nor, their Native Americans current oppressions and Lighter skinned Asians that get arrested and commit horrid/ugly/nasty crimes. But, like this video said, times are changing! 😐Hope that answered your questions.

In today's society, the traditional roles within families are evolving. Rita Braver's video explores these changes in the American family, challenging traditional views. This essay will discuss the characteristics of successful families as depicted in the video, considering the changing roles and responsibilities within families.

I personally feel that extended families offer the best solution. They offer the most security, the most flexibility and expose children to the widest possible social education - which is why they were the norm for the bulk of human existence (and still are the norm for all non-human primate species). While largely intact in my grandparents’ and even to some extent, in my parent’s time, beginning in my own generation and accelerating rapidly thereafter, we have witnessed the fragmentation and annihilation of the family structure, beginning with its reduction to the nuclear family and subsequently its dwindling down to single parent households. Simultaneously, we have witnessed skyrocketing populations of homeless people (who are someone’s unwanted relative), and the explosive construction of daycare and hospice facilities to care for our (unwanted) children and (unwanted) dysfunctional and dying parents. As if this were not bad enough, we now have same sex parents, which presume (incorrectly) that a woman can substitute for a father and a man for a mother in the upbringing of a heterosexual child - despite abundant evidence to the contrary indicating that the means by which males and females relate to and instruct their children differs substantially between the two sexes. It is little wonder therefore that our children are struggling academically and socially and experience an ever widening range of cognitive and developmental maladies. The policies that are in place that encourage this fragmentation must be stopped and reversed immediately if we are to have any hope of raising our children to become the intelligent, psychologically stable and socially astute adults that will be required to lead our nation forward into the future.

Tomica Pall If 70% of black children were not born out of wedlock, this gay couple wouldn't have to adopt these children. I can guarantee you they are 100% better of, and will be straight. That is why the Black Community can't get ahead in this country. I live in a area that has a lot of East African immigrants, and they are thriving. They don't need the white man to rear their children. Slavery is over! Move on and stop blaming the white man for what happened. Having children (70% or so) is a sin too, so keep your mouth shut!
