So can you decide to counter when attacked, or do you have to? And can you attack in your own phase again when you just countered in the enemy phase?

I'm a newbie and a bit confused with the pile in. Perhaps someone with more experience can help. At 7:30 Matt mentions that if your base was already touching an enemies base, you could rotate around it for your pile in (so long as unit coherency is kept). This seems legal because the core rules state the unit must be "at least as close as the nearest enemy model" after moving. However the FAQ and errata contradicts this (Version 1.4 page 4) . It explicitly states that (a) you must finish "closer" not " at least as close" as the nearest enemy model and (b) you cannot rotate in a pile in if bases are already touching . As these two documents seem to contradict one another. Which is right? The core rules, or the FAQ?

FAQ is definitive, yo can´t move around enemy miniature while you do a pile in move spaially if the bases are already touching, because if any player move while is in bases touching is cheating.

The FAQ/errata documents are specifically for the purpose of changing/clarifying/updating rules in the core rulebook.

Since the charging player fights first, how does that work if you charge with two or more units? Do you only fight first with one unit, or do you complete all the charging units' attacks before the defender gets to attack back?
@cleanman52443 жыл бұрын
You charge with those you want to charge with in the charge phase, then choose one of them to begin with in the combat phase. After that one attacked the other player takes their turn. The second unit does not get to attack until its the charging player's turn again. The charging player just gets to attack with his unit first

It there any situation when you would, for the liberators for example, decide having the better chance to wound is better (warhammer) vs the better chance to hit (sword)? It seems to be like a toss up... or is it common for units to have attributes that make hitting or wounding more difficult?

Do characters with missile, and melee weapons in their warscroll attack in both phase? Or does every model just have one weapon

Before charging what if the back models are not in range but the front models are?
@miniwargaming5 жыл бұрын
As long as the first model gets within 0.5" and the rest stay in coherency, you can go wherever you like (within the charge distance of course). If you can't fulfill these rules then the charge fails.

From what i gather they have a low wound count so they are really weak to mortal wounds.

You should have removed 6 models of Chainrasp Hordes because Warhammer deals 2 damage per hit.
@LeCrabeStratege6 жыл бұрын
No, Warhammers only deal one damage. Grandhammers (the big two-handed hammers) are the ones dealing 2 damage, but the Liberators didn't have any.

@@LeCrabeStratege oh sorry. I think I thought Warhammers deal 2 damage because I just saw hammers, and imediately thought it is the same weapon.
