@@saengphetno2825 I generally consider the Chiefs to be a dirty team. They weren’t hitting Herbert below the knee. It’s illegal to tackle the QB in the knee area or below. The hit that hurt Herbert’s ribs in 2022 I believe was also illegal, and unflagged. I suspect the reason for the Chiefs restraint on Sunday was partially due to Harbaugh’s personal relationship with Reid, and partially because they felt like they had control of the game, despite the close score. (Unlike the contest in 2022.) Again, I don’t think the Chiefs in general nor Jones specifically are clean players. Jones has a long history of not pulling back on hits to our QBs after they’ve released the ball. (While our rushers do let up.) Watching the film of our 2022 contest, the difference was stark.

I've got nothing to worry about after seeing the Chiefs game. We played so well it was refreshing to see mahomes not run around everywhere and be sacked. And we can't forget we have tons of injuries, and herbert is not 100 percent. I was surprised that it only came down to a one score game. Were going in the right direction!

Y’all are tripping. This game was so winnable. Just like every other team that played KC so far, we choked. It’s unacceptable. Idk how y’all are happy. I knew this game would be close. We always make it close with the chiefs. I’m more upset that Harbaugh and the O Line somehow are still looking like Staley and Storm Norton are out there. It’s unacceptable and the same old chargers. This should’ve been a W and the start of the new era. I get it’s the first year but it was such a winnable game

@@Orteguh re: “I knew this game would be close” - based on WHAT? How we played them two years ago with a different roster and coaching staff? Having our franchise QB injured? Our decimated defensive backfield, or our decimated OLine? You predicted the two early turnovers and our 10 points? This game went about how I expected after the first quarter. … no that’s not true; we played better than I expected. And frankly I’m also amazed Herbert came out of it more or less okay. (He was back in a walking cast post game, but they said it was “”precautionary” - dodged a bullet there, got hit a lot.)

Respect for the positive arguments. Here’s the “on the other hand” set: 1. Everyone injured. New space age trainer and we still get the camera panning to Bosa in the leather VIP seats. 2. Staley-like 4th and one call in red zone. Matlock and “Gus the Bus” on sidelines while Herb scrambles for dear life. Why not punch it for a yard? 3. Mental toughness to make the key, we won’t lay down plays in 4th quarter-instead Dobbins drops a game changer. 4. Mental toughness to prevent Kareem H from running all over us to keep clock ticking. I want to have faith in Jim H and realize it can take time. That said, got the same old sinking feeling in the 4th Q that we were not going to close the deal-and sure enough. The euphoria of those first two weeks has completely disipated. Still, I tune in and even get to Sofi because deep in my heart…

Bosa just cannot handle the wear and tear of a full NFL season. It's evident. His body is weaker than his mind and he can't play the way he wants to. Some of the play calls were questionable. Honestly that's kinda what you had to expect a little bit when getting Greg Roman. As for the offense in the 4th. Chiefs had us all figured out and we couldn't block. It looked like Staley's team in the 4th because the offense had zero options just like Staley's did. Couldn't do anything like his. Harbaugh knows what he's doing. We like to win every game but he's got a plan for the long term

Feels like our OC forgot the QJ YAC plays. We needed some of those quick underneath routes that never happened. Specially the way the patchwork oline performed. The TD wouldn't have happened if DJ was out there. KC squeaked by with our key players out. We should be able to beat them with a healthier team. And people were asking to "SIT HERBERT." In all honesty, Sam Mustipher wasn't that bad. If you go back and watch him carefully, he's very physical and nasty in the run game. And idk if you forgot, but our HC and OC like to run the ball. And sure, his pass pro didnt look great but lets be realistic here, we were playing the Chiefs who happen to have the best D Tackle in the league, nobody looks good pass blocking against him. And like you said he just joined the team, I think if he gets more time under his belt with the team and we're not playing against Chris Jones, he'd look a lot better and might be better than Zion tbh. Also, I liked Jordan McFadden and Brenden Jaimes when we drafted them, but they're suspect in both pass pro and run blocking. They are both too light, too slow in pass pro and they are too weak to move these starting D Tackles in the league. Just cuz we drafted them doesnt mean they're good. And this is the second coaching regime to make the decision to not play them, im guessing its for a good reason. They dont even look good in preseason against other backups. Why would we trust them to protect a hobbling Herb? They seem to be practice squad at best. I thought Mustiphers performance was a pleasant surprise for someone I never heard of prior to this game. 🤷‍♂️ I think we might have some great depth with him.

Roman needs to get his shyt together! His play calling for the last 2 games have ABSOLUTELY SUCKED! I don't think I saw any plays with the 2 TE'S that we signed just for blocking play. What happened to Matlock? Did I miss seeing him after the 1st qtr or what? You're right about Sam too! Instead of making a game plan to make up for missing our tackles, Roman planned as though they were still there! He made very little halftime adjustments also. I've never liked Roman as a OC no matter what team he coached on. He's wasted 4 games of making a plan with crappy passing plays! The plays he drew up for Ladd and Q were trash! He went back to trying to using Q like Staley did. Ladd with only 5 catches!!?? WTF!! Roman doesn't know how to draw up even a HALF-AZZ decent passing game with one of the top QB'S in the league!!

I’d take an ugly win over a pretty loss any day. And I think we lost pretty because Harbaugh and Roman dropped the ball. Harbaugh screwed up with the challenge and missed one, Roman’s playcall is becoming questionable. Pre-snap penalties are a coaching issue. We got out coached, and that’s scary to see cause it’s supposed to be our strength now.
