The Charlatans and Ocean Colour Scene the two most criminally underrated bands of their era especially when you consider the bands that were the “success stories” from that time.....,what a tune 👍🙌👏

Used to be a big OCS fan but they haven’t done a good album in the last 20 years. Also they haven’t been arsed to put out an album in the last 9 years. But they still tour every year playing the same set. Lazy bastids.

Real music in the 90's. Look at what they have done. All plasic pop mundane shit. Not gunna mention names ellie goulding adele ed sheeran etc.
@z00ts00t778 жыл бұрын
Nothing wrong with Ed Sheran or Adele, pretty sure they are both making 'real music', they are hardly manufactured artists.
@donlogan6668 жыл бұрын
corporate products.
@z00ts00t778 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure that both Adele and Ed Sheeran are enjoying making the music they want to make, writing their own songs, headlining major festivals around the world, having critically acclaimed best selling albums, and racking up serious piles of money to boot. If you want to call them corporate sellouts because it makes you feel better about your taste in music and the bands that you like then go ahead and knock yourself out. But I'm pretty sure that the Charlatans were signed to Universal at one point, one of the biggest major labels out there (not to mention Island Records as well).
@leesaunders19304 жыл бұрын
@@z00ts00t77 you will never find this energy or meaning for the common english man especially not from ed sheeran or Adele etc. I agree with the guy music has taken a nosedive these days, a bunch of pussy whining whinneys singing along to sub standard chart music of today. if only they knew what they missed lol in fact no dont let them know at all, let's keep them away from the charlatans because who knows what might happen next. Ed sheeran might release a remix of THE ONLY ONE I KNOW. heaven forbid 🤮🤮🤮

Brilliant tune, they really hit their stride and found their own identity on this album, away from the demise of "baggy" and the anyone-can-famous cul-de-sac of Britpop...never underrated to my ears I know these boys' ear for melodies and riffs were massively influential to the next generation that followed...shame they cant hold a candle to The Charlatans
