I had the most idyllic holiday in Lake Garda with Ollie and his lovely family. It was a working holiday, as we were there to start filming for a new KZbin channel that we're planning to launch this autumn, all about European travel, art, food and culture! It was a joy to be travelling in Europe again after lockdown, and wonderful to be back in Italy, my favourite country! In this video I share my travels with you, and show you a sneak preview of the stunning places that we filmed for the new vlog!

I would also remind people that no one is perfect, and I think Stephanie would be the first person to remind us that what we see is an edited view into a few minutes of a day. It would make no sense to show us her times when she is in a sour mood, or anyone else, all though she did show her Mother being very cross that one time she got the pick up time wrong and she was an hour late picking her and Gerry up at the airport, her Mom was pretty cross the next morning, and she did show that, but she did try to get a laugh out of her Mum and laugh it off... but her Mom was indeed pretty unhappy. I only say this because it doesn't do anyone good to think that people live lives that are not touched by sadness, greif, anger and all the other real emotions we all deal with in life. I love tuning in weekly because I know for the most part what I'm going to get, which is a video filled with laughter, love and kindness. It's like if you turn on the Kardashians - if you've followed them you know what you're getting into. Gossip, profanity, partial nudity, grotesque displays of wealth and more family infighting that one could possible imagine, but, it's what they are known for. Who knows, all that could be an act, but somehow I doubt it.

It’s funny about the family growing lemons with such success, I follow a Swedish woman who lives in rural China with her husband, son and in laws on their farm. Every year she tries to return to Sweden to enjoy the things from her childhood that made summer so special, spending time at the lake, playing and listening to violins to name a couple things . This year she can’t go because of the virus and was really missing raspberry treats as none grow where she lives. She discovered a woman who ,when she moved to rural China ,wanted to start a business and decided to grow raspberries one reason because they didn’t need chemicals to grow and the rather rocky soil was ideal to grow them. It’s become a big success because it’s a sought after flavour in restaurants, bakeries, and even in wine making. They have kept a section for u -picking so she got to go pick, make her favourite recipes and introduce her Chinese family to a little of her childhood joys. The raspberry farm needs lots of bees so the sell lots of honey and other products , flavoured with raspberry, even a little wine. They chose a perfect crop to grow, the berry that grows in ditches in many parts of the world . 🥰🙋🏼

Two years ago my husband and I drove to Riva Del Garda. We spent 3 glorious days, although our hotel accommodations were no where near as swanky as yours. We took a boat tour around the lake, took one full day. Magical, food was delicious, people were very nice.

When my darling husband and I visited Lake Garda for the first time we were astounded by its beauty as we drove around it looking for a pretty, affordable, restaurant, thinking we were on the trip of our life time and never dreaming that such an elevated level as Stephanie just enjoyed, could exist. Most pleasurable vlog, seeing Lake Garda on another level of beauty and historic excess. Loved every minute, except at dinner in the exquisite dining room with the oh so perfectly, beautiful food, Ollie looked like he came from the golf course and threw a sports jacket over his rumpled golf shirt collar; I would have "killed" my husband for such a breach of conduct.
