The Cheapest Budget Meal Pizza Converted Into A Luxury Pizza

We bought some cheap 55 pence cheese and tomato pizzas from Tesco and added extra ingredients to turn them into a very tasty pizza at a fraction of the price of a luxury pizza.

1 cheap 55 pence supermarket cheese and tomato pizza,
some pepperoni slices,
some mozzarella cheese,
some grated cheddar cheese,
1 onion,

Air fry at 180 Deg c for about 8 minutes.

We have to buy the Aldi cheap pizzas for our Grandson. He never wants any more toppings at all. He just likes the very basic cheese and tomato topping and a few chips (plus tomato sauce of course) and he's happy as Larry. Ourselves? well, we get garlic flat bread or garlic and corriander flat bread and use that as a base and add the toppings we like with loads of strong cheddar on top. Always turns out great. We do this once a week and normally put chopped red pepper, toms, onions, ham or left over chicken, extra cheese and a can of anchovies 54p from Aldi one can does 2 pizzas and I make coleslaw to go with them, a cheap midweek meal for 2. Yummy

I've been doing similar for ages, I do tend to give it a squirt of tomato ketchup then spread before adding ingredients. When my combo microwave's over malfunctioned I tried cooking in a 24cm frypan with a lid on medium to low. Takes about 12 minutes, I find that perfectly acceptable.

Been doing my Pizzas this way for a while. I use Quorn pepperoni cos it has about a months life and is in a resealable pack. Then airfry it in my Cosori XXL. IF you want to do it all from scratch, then buy a pack of Pitta bread. Add grated cheese and tomato suace. (some use ketchup but the spaghetti sauce little tubs will do at least 2 pitta breads) then add what ever topping you like and cook at 175 degrees for about 8-10 min

Yes I know what you mean about those small pizzas being bland. I took one bite and ended up giving it to the dogs . I now just make my own or sometimes just buy a packet of wraps and use them as a quick pizza base and as you said as long as you've got cheese and tomatoes and some onion of sorts then you've got a base foe a pizza 😋 Keep the videos coming both of you 😆💞

Best thing is pizzas often are 90% what you want and there's nearly always something on a pre pimped pizza your not keen on,doing them this way you top them how you want to :) Ive done this before those cheap pizzas are lovely with extra topping but as they come as you found they burn and are quite hard :( extra topping and cheese and they really come alive. Ironically had an air fryer for about 9 months now and never thought to do pizza in it,must try :) Thanks Guys

Air fry the Sainsbury's version, just as cheap, and also needing top-ups. But they're softer, deeper, and more bready, coming out less like a biscuit as Tesco's and Morrisons' do.

Got some of these delivered from Tesco today for trial purposes. The bases are priced exactly what they are worth, 55p. It doesn’t matter what you put on the top these cardboard discs are worth avoiding. Make your own and freeze the dough balls for ready use is my advice.

This is fun to do, especially with kids. Not to be a killjoy though, but the issue with cheap pizzas like this isng the topping, it's the fact that the bases taste like crap. I guess if you overpower them with toppings it helps, but if you're going to that effort a basic pizza base with a bit of flour and yeast and water is not a huge step, and will result in a much better end result. Enjoyed the video, thanks!

You can't beat a 'raw dough' Chicago Town Pizza (2 for £8 in Iceland) in a Ninja Air fryer (in my case a 10 in 1 oven), when it comes to comparing against any takeaway pizza from any overpriced pizza seller, the raw dough makes all the difference, as you bake it, they don't 🤗 Don't all rush and buy them, as I don't want them to run out of stock 😂

We've been doing this for ages. Am I being really tight saying I resent buying a 'Veggie Supreme'* pizza for £5-6? Because what we've always done is buy a cheapo, basic cheese & tomato 8" pizza and bring it home and load it up with veg of our choice. Plus with extra cheese of course. Since we've had the Cosori, we make our own 'pizzas' using the small, plain bases, baguettes ('Sub'), Wraps, even thickly sliced tiger loaf bread. Great stuff. *we're meat eaters but only like Veggie pizza
