I bought the 90cent player! Tear out the battery and soldered in a 3Amp Lipo Battery in. Everything was tape together with Scotch Tape. I use the player for 4 years, today the board finally became spoilt. Really like the player. No nonsense, it just play instantly when I switch it on, no delay at all.

The LCD display model looks like it would be a somewhat decent MP3 player if it had either a larger battery or ran on AAA's. For audio testing in videos, you can download MP3s from the KZbin Audio Library, which you can freely use without running into a copyright or monetization issue: kzbin.infomusic

I had a dl one, with a display and multiple backlight colours. It was nice, and lasted like 12 years and only died, when a battery leaked hard into it, and i didnt clean it propperly as the display wouldnt lift off, the play button stopped, and months later the entire device. It had a 1gb internal memory, no flashlight, didnt had microsd card slot, a 1.5battery socket (AAA battery), it looked alike the second one there, had radio fm, it measured the battery so i used it to test batteries of remote controllers of tvs too.

I've had the 90 cent ones for years. I've stuck bigger ones in there but I've found if you want certain music a smaller micro sd card works if you have a container for 10 of them or s. (one I have also from china has spots for about 10 of them and or slightly less as it wastes a spot for 1 SD adapter and the other side holdes 3 SD cards. Have another one but it had an iphone like connector to it, has a display and battery does seem to last awhile. But it has a fake memory chip which is generally the main problem so thats why I prefer the above. I can get a legit memory card inside vs a fake Samsung memory card that you have to low level format to a certain size or you'll corrupt some data when it loops Worst mp3 player I've had.. I'm about to burn as I was using the pcb board only and using it for storage. alas the parts are starting to fall off that actually matter to keeping a charge to the memory.. it was from a longer Craig mp3 player with a display that never work but hey nice nightlight. :P
@SagePatrynXX6 жыл бұрын
btw 15 min? you've been had. mine lasts maybe 5 hours at the least or longer, if it lasted 15 minutes doubt I'd keep it. I'd say someone cheaped out on the battery. And usually have it at full volume because it doesn't get very high but high enough I don't mind. I've had $100 items with it lower for headphones not speakers. I believe I need a volume amp for that for headphones

Likely the point of the switch is because no one in China seems to be able to design proper power management. In some things (like digital calipers and whatnot), quite literally the only power management you get, is the screen turns off. It's still drawing 16mA in the background, and still will be dead in two weeks. Everything from the cheapest, shittiest electronics, right up to portable oscilloscopes, are prone to piss-poor power management.

Oh i'm sure you can fit a better quality with same dimensions! I have had one of these players, i think branded by Denver Electronics (Denmark), and it lasted quite a few hours, i think 6 or so, far from useless. Unfortunately, after 2 years of storage, the battery puffed up and wouldn't last more than a minute. I think this is what happened to these two players, they're new old stock (2014 manufacture) but their batteries went bad, and were very low quality product to begin with. The second even looks internally damaged. Sansa Clip first generation also doesn't use much larger size battery, mine is now 10 years old. But that battery is absolutely fine, hasn't lost much capacity at all, it can still play for 10 hours or more! And OMG the sound quality of the little thing, it's just amazing. And to think i sniped it for 15€!
