I have the pizza oven, toaster oven and air fryer combo, also purchased for $90 delivered. My magic setting for a cold fermented, lean dough is 800 degree preheat, then 785 top, 690 bottom for actual cooking. The upper crusts brown beautifully without burning the bottom. I was afraid the cheese would overcook, so I used whole milk mozz pearls straight from my cold drawer and had no issues. For those comparing to a steel in a home oven, this oven cooks a much better crust in less time. At the hotter temps, the dough springs more quickly and the resulting crust is both crisper and more tender than my 550 degree home oven and 3/8 steel. To me, it’s a very noticeable difference, but not everyone will care. The home oven also makes great pizza. Lastly, the sheet metal work and overall build is very, very good for the money, but time will tell the story on longevity of the electronic control panel.

Great video, as always. Definitely don't need a tiny, electric pizza oven, but now I kinda want one. I have some suggestions for anyone using this oven for NY style at home. I used to make NY style pizza professionally for several years when I was younger. First off, the dough should most certainly include both oil and sugar. These ingredients do help with browning, as well as get the signature texture/snap. The flour we used was Power Flour by Grain Craft, which is a high gluten red winter wheat with some dough enhancers added. Any high gluten flour should be fine. And lastly, I haven't used this specific oven, but I will tell you that 550-600° F is pretty much standard for NY style. All the places I worked we would use 550° normally, and only crank to 600° if it got super busy. I haven't used this specific oven, and all ovens will vary, but just looking at the undercarriage of your pizzas in the NY style, the oven appears a bit on the hot side. Cooking a little lower, and a little longer will go a long way towards better browning. Always appreciate your content! Hope the above helps someone out there.

This is the same oven as the Chefman which has been out for a few years. The Chefman sold for about 300.00 US when I bought mine a year ago. The front panel controls are different, but the functions are the same. My Chefman makes great NY style pizza with 600 bottom and 650 top. Thanks for the well done video. I've owned this pizza oven for a few months and have cooked about 25 pizzas. First and foremost, the stone sits on a temperature probe so you need to be extremely careful when removing or replacing the stone. Be sure NOT to slide the stone in or out as it can damage the sensor. Perhaps it's the dough I make but I cook at max temp, both upper and lower. I select the Neapolitan setting than increase the temp - fastest way to get to 800 deg setting. I don't think the quality looks or feels cheap and am actually quite impressed considering the price tag. During the winter it's nice to be able to use an indoor pizza oven and so far, I'm a happy camper.

I think this and the Chefman are basically the same but the Chefman has dials so it is easier to use. It's not as insulated as the Volt so that's why it loses heat fast, but for the price, I've made some Neapolitan style almost as good as the outdoor Ooni that I stopped using the Ooni since it's much more convenient. Just saw price of $80 at Walmart which is insane.

I was shopping around for an inexpensive pizza oven for the winter or rainy days when cooking outside is not a good idea. One of the ovens that was coming up frequently in my searches was Chefman that can be found on Amazon for around $200. And then I saw this Gourmea at Target and Walmart. I was looking for KZbin reviews but all I could find was one unboxing video. Not too helpful. I noticed that this oven and the Chefman look almost identical, the biggest difference was in the control panel. So, I figured at $90 I am not risking much. I got mine a couple of days ago at $89 shipped plus tax. My first few bakes produced very similar results to yours. I also made a couple yummy breads as well. As long as you dial in the optimal top and bottom temp settings, this oven is a no brainer. Recommended.

Damn, for that price i would buy it. Cheapest i see in Canada is 250. We use the steel in the oven and it's the preheat that is rough. With a 15 minute heat i can make do.
