I’ve been preaching on these BCGs forever and people criticized me because “a good properly gassed gun doesn’t need adjustable anything” regardless this makes my suppressed and even non suppressed guns shoot so well I swear by them have many 1000s of rounds through them!! Good on you for making a video on them!!

If you have a properly gassed gun that still has a super snappy recoil impulse would the bcg help with that? Ive already gone superlative adjustable gas block, as well as an A5 system with the heavier A5 buffer and its still snappy as hell.

@@Dem0nActual the bootleg adjustable bcg does the same thing an adjustable gas block does but the adjustable gb will reduce fouling and pressure from getting into your receiver. adjustable gb are superior to adjustable bcg's. the only reason i would use an adjustable bcg would be because i had a fsb gas block that i wanted to keep on my gun.

For my dedicated suppressed guns I prefer BRT EZ-Tune gas tubes. I tried the Bootleg BCG in one of my guns and on anything other than the wide open setting my gun wouldn’t lock back after the last round 100% reliably. So in that specific instance I just couldn’t take advantage of the BCG’s tuning capacity so I just sold it to a buddy.

When tuning a rifle, mass and springs are the last step, not first. Sprinco will tell you to control the gas drive before fine tuning with buffers and springs. Black River Tactical Ez-Tune Gas Tubes are the easiest and cheapest way to change your gas drive.

I ran a Bootleg for 2 years on my 11.5. It was fine and definitely lowered recoil. But it still vents a lot of gas out of the ejection port. once I was ready to re-barrel my gun, I went to a 12.5 midlength gas, with a riflespeed adjustable gas lock,a Sprinco blue spring, and H3 buffer. It’s been about 2 years and it’s been phenomenal. Runs like a race horse, actually lowers the blowback and I can actually tune my gun to my individual suppressors to lower the ejection port blast at the shooters ear. And it’s a super robust system with definitive clicks that have never been accidentally adjusted or come loose. In my backup gun, I run a BRT EZ Tune gas tube.
@Bisley1
@Bisley1 7 ай бұрын
Just curious, why the increased power blue spring and H3 buffer, if you‘re running the riflespeed AGB anyway? Also, how do you feel about the 12.5 vs 11.5 in functionality and length, not the gassing situation?
@Kenposhinobi
@Kenposhinobi 7 ай бұрын
@@Bisley1 if you only want low recoil, you could just use an adjustable gas block. But as a suppressor host, you are trying to keep the BCG in lock up as long as possible to allow as much gas to move forward as well as let chamber pressures come down. That way you get less gas blow back as well as less port pop making it quieter at the shooters ear. 11.5 vs 12.5. They are very comparable, but I do get more consistency past 400 yards with the 12.5. And you get a bit more rail space for lights, lasers etc.

if you have an AGB why not use the lightest buffer and tune your GB? 🤨
@Kenposhinobi

@@investigativeoutcomes9343 if you purely want insane recoil reduction to make it like a race gun, you can go that route. But if it’s a suppressor host. It will be very gassy. With a suppressor host, you want to keep the bolt carrier in battery as long as possible to allow more gasses to move forward through the can and for chamber pressure to come down. That way you have less gas blowback and less port pop, making it quieter at the shooters ear.

I’ve been running the same bolt carrier for 2-3 years in my 10.3 work rifle with the Hux 556 TI. I have the Sprinco blue Spring with a H3 buffer in it. On unsuppressed setting two with a clean/lubed gun I can get approximately 500 rounds on it before I start having short stroking issues. Is changing the BCG not the wrong way to solve over gassing. The correct solution would be to get a correct gasport size and gasblock tuned to the suppressor.

Does the bootleg BCG work with the Vltor A5 buffer system or do you need to use an H2 buffer?

Sharps SAGRS Adjustable Bolt Carrier Group in DLC So much better hands down. Yeah little longer to adjust each time but no thing. I run pinned solid non adjustable gas block so if ima adjust this is the way to go. Yeah best thing tuning your gas tube itself but no one got that kinda scratch. Bruh you can cop the sharps on a sale for almost same price way better materials design all that son.
