It's been wonderful being a part of this community the last 22 months and seeing it grow with amazing people. I need to ask for your help, and I don't like asking for help; but with Stephanie and Nati's permission, I've included a link to my fundraising effort for medical expenses. Having Covid twice has damaged my heart and now I have to have open heart surgery - a triple bypass after the holidays. I don't have a choice. I live in the USA and honestly, our insurance is terrible and medical costs are outrageous. If you can help me in any way, I would truly be grateful with what's facing me next month.

This is my favorite Diary. It is calmer. It is rural France at it's most honest. The cheese shop salesperson is all business. The viaduct drone shots are stunning. Dan, Marie and Stephanie are relaxed together. The van is the star.

Beautiful wreath Kristy and Cheese board Maria!! Loved the trip to town for the cheese and the walk to the viaduct for beer and cheese. Beautiful drone footage, the drone in front of you and in back of you, sounds like a bee buzzy. Always fun to visit you at advent and throughout the year. This will be my first Christmas without my husband of 50 years, he died, will be 5 months on Christmas day. Lots of sadness around the world this season of joy. But our faith in Jesus Christ keeps us going. It's not over till it is over!!!

Who would have guessed that a vlog titled The Cheese You Need At Christmas would generate more than the usual amount of laughter. The switcheroo of drivers catches you off-guard, you guffaw in delight. The meld of Dan's style into Stephanie's vlog (the music), it's like, "Wait a minute here....." the traipsing off to get cheese when you hope you know where you're going, the chatter, and the lovely wreath wrought by Kirsty --- and then "singing to the wreath," everything was perfectly upbeat, fun and funny. I like how your a mix of so many cultures. Even though you wont miss doing English crackers, you now see the need for christmas cheeses. And you make sure somehow that the people staying at the chateau are represented during christmas. I myself am german and french from region the central down to bottom of french map.
