Me and my mate (both Cardiff boys) went there in 89-90 to watch Chelsea v Millwall ..Chelsea win 4- nil and Kerry Dixon scored a hat trick ...our eyes were opened that day haha never ever forget it . Btw Cardiff were away to Carlisle in the old 4th division that day ,we couldn't be arsed going to Carlisle ...the shed was mad ...celery celery !! We were 16 . Thanks Chelsea hahahahah

My first appearance on the Shed was 74, v Carlisle. It was unique. The roof cover was very limited, reducing the noise, but the terrace was very big, and dangerous. Its size meant that there were numerous factions, not simply the Right, Middle and Left side, but contingents from various suburbs that were self contained units. Only the ICF and Arsenal attempted any serious occupations on a regular basis. My favourite game was against Leeds in the 80;s, last game of the season, when we went up as Champions, Leeds were mid table, but brought down 10,000 to help us celebrate.

@@garylongden You must have been young mate 500 can look like thousands when you're a kid. They bought 500 and smashed up the new electric scoreboard. Leeds Utd never ever bought 10000 in those days, I doubt they'd bring it now. Only Liverpool, Utd and Chelsea fans travelled away with those numbers in England back then. Even arsenal spurs and west ham sometimes struggled to bring 10000 to the bridge, like I said only Utd and Liverpool always had such a vast away following in the 80's

i grew up in ex yugoslavia, end of 80's following my club Dinamo Zagreb. We were as young as fans in videos of Chelsea shed in the 70s, in our mid teens. I didnt really know english at the time but somebody came up with singing "lets go Chelsea Chelsea is the best". Didnt really know much about Chelsea (reckon they played in second division at the time). As my firm BBB Dinamo Zagreb became as famous in Europe as Headhunters were before, I still love and support Chelsea in England, even with all the shitty changes in ownership. Respect®ards from Dinamo Zagreb!

I don't go to friendlies apart from the infamous riot at Millwall, again in 1972 when Millwall played West Ham for the first time in living memory for The Testimonial of Harry Cripps, our most much loved player of all time when West Ham got kicked out of THe Cold Blow Lane and the trouble went on all night, by all accounts... Fumnily enough, though a Left Back, he scored the crucial goal in that 1972 Cup win at Goodison mate. One of my biggest regrets is that I,shamefully, went to a Dog meeting and not his funeral over in Essex which I still regret in 1995.... Hibs? Didn't go but they, apparently, caught the boys unawares as they turned up for a Pre-Season Friendly and nobody else did..lol

Always had a bit of a sneaking respect for Millwall after that. I'm 60 now and my match-going days are long gone. It's all changed now and I doubt there's any place for the likes of me.
