It is absurdly naive to assume anyone who cheats is cheating all of the time, every game, every move. A prodigy capable of upsetting top players doesn't prove anything with regards to cheating. If you cheat one move every three games, or even just look at the eval bar, over the course of a season/tournament your results will be much better than without cheating, and completely undetectable. You may very well lose some games that you cheated in, but you will win more than you lose, especially if you're a talented player. Fact is, Lazavik's incredible online results are not matched by his OTB performance. He didn't win any games in this Final except against MVL in Armageddon, when MVL had less than 10 minutes. That doesn't PROVE anything, but it's still SUSPICIOUS. It's one piece of evidence that gets added to the pile, and time will tell.
@meron770011 ай бұрын
I agreed with you until the second paragraph. I don't think it is suspicious that someone who grew up with online chess performs better online. He has had a lot of success in CCT earlier this year, and they have at least somewhat good anti-cheating measures.

One of the cameras must also have audio turned on and headphones are disallowed. There can also be computer, environment or physical inspections if requested. Broadcasting also has a 60 second delay. While not perfect, I would argue these measures are relatively good.

Not just this, but people interpreting his inability to choose words as humbleness to be praised, was additional cringe.
