Sam: Chicago-style relish is a type of sweet pickle relish typically used on Chicago-style hot dogs. The unique color of the relish, often referred to as "neon green", is created by adding blue dye to regular pickle relish.

The proper way to make a Chicago dog: - steamed Vienna Beef hot dog w/ celery salt! - Steamed S Rosen poppy seed hotdog bun - Topped with mustard, diced white onion, sliced tomato, sport peppers, kosher dill pickle and Vienna nuclear green Chicago style relish! Go White Sox!!!
@igna83
@igna83 3 жыл бұрын
YAASSSSS! @TheFishingForum is right -- cook the hotdog in water, steam or on the grill - nestle it in a S Rosen poppy seed bun, "drag it though the garden" a/k/a yellow mustard, Vienna relish, onion, 2 tomato wedges, 1 kosher dill spear, 2 sport peppers and then, top with celery salt. I don't even live in Chicago--we're a couple hours South--but what's in my pantry at all times: sport peppers and Vienna relish!

Hi Sam, friend of mine gave me your intentional leftover cook book and I have been watching you ever sense and look forward to your videos. I am an Afghan war veteran and deal with numerous issues and your episodes help me cope. Appreciate what are you using everything you guys do! Keep up the good work

I make these all the time for my daughter, but never thought to try making the buns myself. Going to give it a go.

Glad to see you do the Chicago Dog. My absolute favorite hot dog. I’ll definitely rewatch this to make my own buns.

Those buns look amazing. I love your channel. I have not made many of recipes because, after losing almost 90 lbs, there is a lot I no longer eat but I love living vicariously through your food. Also, you guys crack me up.
