Vaccinating for fowl pox was something we were not prepared for. We learnt something new in this video, and we also share a little more on how to treat your chickens when they have fowl pox.

Well done for all the wonderful work you are both doing on the homestead. Perhaps you could also look at controlling mosquitoes in the coop - I realised that we had a flare-up of fowl pox due to the mosquitoes in the coop. We have been using that coil and had no more issues. All the best with the work. Rooting for your success!!

There are other alternatives to vaccinating your chickens. Please do more research on the subject, some hens stop laying eggs after being vaccinated. Make sure to keep their coop clean and they must be able to scratch in the soil, so free range. Also clean drinking water is very important. Soaking the chicken feed in water for 24 hours not only helps save money as it goes a longer way it's also healthy for the chickens. Cuttings chopped fine left over from the kitchen mixed in to the fowl mix is also very good. Happy homesteading.

Aaah shame, I'm so sorry your babies got sick but hope that they recover soon. Thank you so much for sharing 😊
