Just think, we'd never be able to relive these memories without the internet.

I wonder how many viewers have ended up here after discovering that "The Dixie Chicks" are now calling themselves "The Chicks"? It's nice that New Zealand's "The Chicks" were asked if that was okay. So what next? A New Zealand tour by "The Chicks" and "The Chicks"?
@lanceanz2 жыл бұрын
@@tims001 I was going off a NZ Herald story dated 26-Jun-2020. It end with a nice enough comment about the Dixie Chicks thanking them on "social media". It also confirms lawyers contacted them.

Call your lawyers... its time to sue the Dixie chicks

Haha, yes. Harrod's restaurant here in Palmerston North, NZ were told to desist by Harrods in the UK. Even though the former were actually using their own surname. Crazy times indeed.

This is actually from the 1969 Loxene Golden Disc awards TV show. This song was one the top 10 finalists that year.... Top 10 finalists were... "The Hi-Revving Tongues - "Rain and Tears" Shane - "Saint Paul" Larry Morris - "The Hunt" The Rebels - "My Son John" Dedikation - "Wait For Me Mary-Anne' Mike Durney - "Why Can’t I Cry' The Avengers - "Out Of Sight Out Of Mind" The Chicks - 'Miss You Baby" Hamilton County Bluegrass Band - "Barefoot Nellie" The Simple Image - "Michael and the Slipper Tree". The awards were again held at the Intercontinental Hotel in Auckland, on 15 October 1969. Three new awards were introduced - secondary awards for the best group and best solo artist, as well as an award for the best producer. Golden Disc Award: The Hi-Revving Tongues - "Rain and Tears" Solo Award: Shane - "Saint Paul" Group Award: "The Hi-Revving Tongues - "Rain and Tears" Producer Award: Wayne Senior. A great bunch of songs that year. I can just remember seeing it on TV age 9.

Song's okay but those male dancers need to chill out - too frantic and the Chicks need to put their stilted hands down and take it nice and slow.
