Just promote 1 of the 3 guys from the practice squad and increase Hardman's roll on offense. I think we should give Montrell Washington a chance. In preseason he caught everything. Use Wiley more. But we all know Skyy Moore is not the answer. I think all 3 guys Remigo Ross and Washington are better than Skyy but Brett Veech will figure it out! Hopefully real quick but we have a bye coming up and that helps!

There has to be a cap component as to why Moore isn't supplanted. Moore is a very good blocker and may have the best handle on the offense. That being said, I like Montrell Washington. He has better football instincts than Mecole as a returner. He's a good WR and yes it will allow Mecole to be of Moore use in the offense.

Not sure I agree that Amari Cooper isn’t perfect because outside of a clone of Rice nobody is perfect to replace Rice but Cooper could be exactly what we need. He’s 30 and walking in free agency so they absolutely have to trade him. Going to a better team and winning a ring is what he wants to do, he’s not gonna put up the numbers or have a memorable post season to get one more 2-3 year deal out of anyone unless he performs and we are objectively the best spot for him to 1. Get a ring 2. Get good targets from an Elite QB for solid numbers over the last 70% of the season and in clutch playoff opps to show he’s not on Washed Watch 3. He has seven 1K Seasons in a 10 year career including 2 consecutive and 4 of the last five 4. Genuinely shouldn’t be expensive. We 100% should trade the picks we’d need to which wouldn’t even be like a first to get that talent, experience and depth back in WR room for the Threepeat. No question

So here's the thing with Rice. Chiefs are considerably worse without Rashee Rice than they were before he was injured. BUT they are not worse than they were last year. You don't need elite receivers with Mahomes, you just need guys who will not drop the ball when it hits them. And with an exception of Skyy, those guys are gone. Juju is slower, but if you hit him with the ball, he'll catch it. Justin Watson isn't the best guy to throw deep, but if you hit him on short to intermediate yardage, he'll catch it. As long as Kelce does his thing and Worthy develops quickly, they can still be very good. They still need to bring in a guy or two just for numbers, but they don't have to break the bank. Also, don't forget, there's always two or three tight end sets. And there's no reason you can't have both Hunt and Steele in there at the same time and throw it to one of them.

That was just about my line of thought on another video. Despite being a rookie last year, Rice was forced to step up because of the circumstances. He shined brighter because of the lackluster performance of last year’s offense. But there was a time without Rice, just the season before. And many of those same faces are still there (including JuJu). So there’s that. Worthy will likely need to step up more like Rice had to do, but he’s clearly capable. And I think it’ll make him a better WR for it.

Speaking as a guy who makes a chunk of change each year from poker, the treatment of Skyy Moore reminds me of addicted gamblers chasing a loss. Way past time to fold this hand. Way past time to get up from the table. The Chiefs need to cut their losses and let him go. Trade him for a box of tacos if they have to... just trade him!

Losing both WR1 and WR2 is a lot to overcome. Often mentioned Amari Cooper, Cleveland willing, is a legitimate possibility to recover some of Brown’s production, not so much of what Rice produces. Cooper makes a lot less sense if inside information suggests Hollywood will likely return for the post season. Perhaps the Chiefs would be better off to accelerate Worthy’s development rather than integrate an outsider into a complicated scheme. That might suggest a more modest transaction (Jalin Hyatt?) to help pressure defenses downfield. That still leaves a vacancy from Rice’s injury. Michael Thomas is frequently mentioned to help cushion Rice’s absence. Thomas makes some sense together with JuJu plus greater reliance on running backs and tight ends. The Chiefs are fortunate to have a FANTASTIC group of receiving running backs, exceeding all expectations. Pacheco, already a decent receiver, upped his receiving/pass blocking game during off season work. Perine and Hunt are both excellent receivers and pass blockers. Regardless of any roster moves, the passing game must lean more on running backs than originally contemplated.

On the upside, 15 will again have to find workarounds for the lack of his WR1, and it’s fairly obvious that Big Red has wanted to develop the ground game. Also, the nickname “Bad News” for Rice has two antecedents: his car crash, now his injury. Rice fits well in the Chiefs with his all-in dogged persona, and will be more bad news for opposing teams when he returns, along with others whose high-level play we miss. At least he has made good contributions this season, and after hosting the Saints, the team can rest and heal for a while.
