I remember what Jesus did for me every single day… and cry. Because I feel so unworthy of his grace and mercy. 😢 I’m weeping writing this.

You show beautifully that Jesus is with us from the beginning and we need Him like eating and drink.

I knew some of this, but, wow, you taught me so much more. Being raised a Catholic, I remember always receiving communion. That was so important to me. I'm no longer a Catholic, and I miss that part of it. Thank you so much for the explanation.

We were sold this idea that the "Holy Grail" is some sort of Silver/Gold cup that's magical when in reality it's just a regular cup... 😅 Kinda says a lot about the world having this expectation of grandeur when in reality it's humility... 😅 Where wine is created from the burst/pressure/death of grapes just like the remembrance of Jesus death...

1) I will now focus more on the connections to the old covenant experienced by His people as Jesus prepared to fulfill the new covenant, when we get the privilege to see season 5. 2) This lesson has revealed the reason for flat bread and simple wine for the Last Supper. I knew about the connection of the sacrificial lamb, but, as a Gentile, not how the Jewish disciples would have been reminded of the coming of the Suffering Servant and God's continual provision on a regular basis. 3) In the future when I partake of the Lord's Supper, I will focus more on all that the Torah and Prophets had spoken about God's great plan to redeem us, His lost and broken people. Praise be to the Lamb of God who took away our sins that we now live in God's love! Thank you, Pastor Robbins, for revealing the wisdom of God and the culture of 1st century Judaism, hidden in The Chosen, to the world.

I realize that we are much closer to the Jewish people than we think because 1. We were slaves of sin like Jewish were slaves of Egypt 2. We are washed through Jesus's blood, like they washed the sin of the Jews through lambs blood 3. We are under a covenant, the new one, like Jews were from the first covenant (Noha and Abraham), that's why Paul said in Romans that we are branches newly attached to the roots.

If you born a human you are sinful and need redemption. Jews were chosen to lead everyone out of bondage but instead crucfied the Messiah so it's left to whom ever picks it up, his yolk is easy and his burden light. They missed the mark. Yes you are reformed Judaism but Jews aren't close to this at all. They kick and scream like a damn demon when spoke of Jesus. One is from ignorance, two is from fear of change. Any case end of times will come and lamb to the right goats to the left

I love what the Chosen has done to bring Jesus and the Gospel to the wider world and have personally enjoyed every episode and every season. However, I am concerned that as the seasons have progressed, the writing has taken a more and more divergent path from Scripture with liberties using the plausibility argument. That said, a little lost in going over the minutiae of the cup and breaking of bread, a 1st century passover seder will almost certainly not have the group seated on chairs before a tall dining table(s) in the way shown - that is very much a modern (and historically inaccurate) layout that begins at least from Leonardo da Vinci's The Last Supper. @Brandon, I'd really like to watch an episode where you cover this very subject of the scene in the upper room, and maybe also talk about whether Judas actually stayed long enough to partake of the bread and wine, because the Gospels differ on the timeline of when Judas left the supper.

The Eucharist. Yes, we share in that one sacrifice in this Eucharistic Sacrifice, the mass every Sunday, the Shabbat of the New Covenant.

I have learned so much watching your teachings, thank you. However, I am having trouble understanding how this meal was a Passover Meal. I understand Last Supper with symbolizm, however, I can imagine a Passover Lamb being slaughtered before everyone else who would have slaughtered theirs the next day. Just as the Lamb that would take away the sins of man was taken at the same time? Your insight is welcomed.

We’ve celebrated the Passover Seder for years. I believe the hidden secrets are even deeper than you describe. The bread Jesus breaks is actually the affikomen (the piece that is the middle of three, broken and hidden in a white cloth, then found and shared as “dessert” by breaking and sharing around the table). The cup He chooses is the third cup - the cup of redemption. Then He says He will not drink the 4th cup, the cup of glorification, until He comes anew in His kingdom. Amazing!

Good info, but we must remember that the days started at sundown. This would still be Passover/Pesach not the Feast of Unleavened Bread, that was the reason Caiaphas wanted it done before the High Holy Day. That would also be in conflict with Matt 26:1-2. Yahshua was placed on the cross/tree at the hour of the first temple sacrifice and taken down during the hour of the last temple sacrifice (It is done). Was this a annual or monthly remembrance? Just a question🙏🏽🤛🏾

I believe differently. Remembering in the sense that you said, in this particular part of the Bible means to make me present. That means that the Passover and the Jewish festivities were being made present again. They were not just being remembered with emotions they were actually happening again in the present moment. The present moment is the eternal now. Things are happening now. It all happens now. God is alive now. God has died now. Everything is now the sacred now the sacred moment. So it means to say do this to make me present. That’s why the Catholic Church believes that that’s exactly what’s happening in the mass. I know you don’t believe that, but it totally brings a whole new depth to the entire thing. So I’m just sharing that. Plus, we believe in the real presence because of this very part of the Bible. I am not a theologian, but I do understand it, but I can’t explain it very well. I think that so many protestants have closed minds about these things, and it might not hurt to think that maybe it is true! When there’s so much division, it doesn’t do any good. How about thinking? Well, maybe it is possibly true. God bless you. Thank you so much
